Don't you think that is a fallacy? If that was the case, it would have gone the Ivory Coast way. On the flip side of that, if the "winner" was not known, how legitimate is the presidency? Being "Commander in Chief" at the time, what did he do?

I dont quite know what/whom you may be refering to.
However I know that Raila is ready to incur whatever amount of collateral damage in lost Kenyan lives and property for as long as he lands the prize!!

I also know that he manipulates the masses to think that he is a Sheep while in actual fact he is a Wolf!
Remember the limits to which he stretched the country just to get nusu mkate!!!!
Even in Luo Nyanza, where he draws his bedrock support, folks were subjected to untold suffering as PEV persisted.
What with zero replenishment of supplies with all roads blocked by youths heeding his 'mass action' calls!

Basic commodities like food were depleted and people were left to near starvation - all meant for him to bargain for nusu mkate!!

The most curious was the propaganda he spread about Uganda and Museveni!!

Not long after came the Migingo issue - for which he manipulated the people of Nyanza to hate Museveni like the Devil only for him to be caught campaining for him to clinch yet another term - to celebrate a 3rd decade in office!!!!

No body in Luo Nyanza will dare hold a divergent political opinion against him.
Kina Orengo and Nyongo who once tried were whiped to place!

If that is not manipulation of a people, then what is!

Under lock and key!!!

And by the way when Kriegler said that no one could tell at the time who had won the election what he meant is that;

After the blatant cheating in both PNU and ODM strongholds - by way of stuffing ballot boxes, voting for absent/dead voters, denying as well as scaring away rival party observers/supporters from accessing polling stations, inordinate voter turn-out figures etc. – there could not be any meaningful audit of the ballot to determine what each candidate garnered honestly.

In the mean time as per law established, the ECK was the body charged with the duty of declearing the winner of the elections.

Any one aggrieved by that pronouncement, had only one legal and civilised channel to challenge the same - in a manner consistent with peace.

Our Raila chose a dangerous path, a path of chaos and bloodshed!!

That decision and its execution informs my beef with the PM.

Musikari Kombo called ODM - One Dangerous Man.

"I also offered him to go into exile and be a lecture in Boston University. America had given me that offer. All that is lost now," the PM said.

Its now 2017! A week to election day.
People flee Nairobi, Nakuru....

If I may ask who has created and painted an environment where people feel like fleeing to homogeneous quarters is the way to go.

Who do people suppose - if it were to happen – whose supporters would start the problems!

Nobody is fleeing to anywhere, schools are closed and many people like to travel upcountry with children after schools are closed.

Many plan to return before the poll date and others are just headed to where they are registered.

I guess I'm also "fleeing"

Taking my kids to stay with their cucu today for the next 4 weeks. I guess even all my neighbors are fleeing. we flee every holiday.

It's a school holiday dummy. Parents tend to take their kids home and give their mboch a break so that they can use the kitchen and living room for other extra curricular activities.

That's reassuring [sic].
cc NASA principals who were almost going down on their knees yesterday, to plead with their supporters to stay put. Kidero and Muthama the Nairobi chargees seem to have missed the memo too!

It's not about hols man, these are elections. The movement other times is very minimal

If you live in some areas, you first have to secure your family. No risking.

The issue isn't limited to Nairobi. In some small towns people are moving too. People have taken more than a week off

It will be great when we get back to a place where elections don't cause much tension. For now, don't blame anybody securing their families

Ahh.

I was wondering why there are no kids in the compound nor wakas. And talking about a jubilated region by the way.

Why arent businesses open in most parts of Nairobi!!

What gospel is Raila preaching right now!

I know it is politically incorrect (sic) to criticise Raila, but....

Aahgh. Ukweli usemwe. Babu is now too much. Instead of letting IEBC do it's work, he is disrupting it's activities like he has always done. He should patiently wait for the results (like the rest of us) and then petition or play to the gallery.
