Did you know that Jams in Nairobi are caused by the round abouts and not the width of the road?

Sort out the round abouts and there will never be jams

Being removed as we speak...

That's the biggest mistake ever. Time will tell. Ever seen the chaos at riverside/kileleshwa junction? Why transfer that madness to Uhuru highway?

esp from 4 pm! Wacha tuone!

What the junction at yaya , pray you don't get caught there

Kenyans, why are we always negative yawa! Let us believe that finally Kidero has found the solution to the jam issue on this stretch.

No guys for this one you are not getting it. This is not the same with those junctions that we so dread. What is happening this night is to block the 'right turns'. I guess they want to try out the effectiveness of this intervention before the roundabouts are actually cleared out. Eg at Westlands, no more right turn to Sarit. Unaenda kufanya U-turn huko juuu...

Ever encountered the chaos caused by vehicles coming from Embakasi trying to crossover to the right and make the u-turn on Mombasa Road?

Expect more traffic jams in CBD

Quote:
Police have restricted movement of vehicles on roads around Parliament in new security measures.

Nairobi Traffic Commandant Edward Mwamburi said motorists' movement to the Parliament area had to be regulated for security reasons.

“We are regulating the flow of traffic in the city especially around the parliament for security reasons,” he said.

No vehicles will be allowed to drive on the stretch on Harambee Avenue between Vigilance House and Uhuru Highway.

Officers have erected barriers at the junction of Harambee Avenue and Tumbo Avenue, near the Treasury.

Movement of vehicles on Parliament Road has also been restricted at the City Hall road and Harambee Avenue junctions.

Unless there is some intelligence information on some terror threat, this as stupid as stupid can be. I saw the barriers in the morning and I thought something very serious is cooking.

How are we supposed to feel safe if the govt itself is scared of terror and thus blocking roads?
