If you default in a loan;the creditor forwards your details to credit reference bureau.
Once it's there the information then circulates to other potential creditors will know you have defaulted in a loan and therefore a bad debtor.
When you go them to request for credit they will either put stringent terms or reject your application till you clear with CRB.

Now Chase has the go-ahead to lend. What happens to all those funds stuck in the bank?

What a dumb move.

I think this is more PR, nobody is touching this institution unless its sold, rebranded and the board reformed

However CBK reports Chase opened a few thousand new accounts, putting a few thousand new customers at direct risk. Does CBK know what its doing? Or do they want the disaster to get bigger?

A forensic audit on the operations of Chase Bank before it was put under receivership will be out today, The Standard has learnt. KPMG South Africa is expected to hand over the audit report to Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) and Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC).

This report should be made public so that everyone can see where the skeletons in our banking system are hidden.

@Maka and the " Fisis" who bank with Chase just to see the gals, where are we with our SME Bank?Any update on take over?

How is the customer service? What did the SA auditors find out?

The hype seems to have died and the silence is unnerving the huge depositors.

He was just an employee like the rest of staff. Worked with him at Coop Bank, a very nice boss.

So a Director is equal to just an employee?
I beg to differ. He wad right in the mix of chewing our meagre savings. Why was he shown the door at Chase?

Yawa Director title was used at Chase Bank herein to denote Head of function who were SMT members reporting to the MD, the thug who collapsed and died. Even Coop Bank uses those titles, I think even BBK etc. Stop the hating sis.

Questions;
1. Is it true that the KCB deal fell through?

2. Why are customers still depositing money into this bank yet it has not paid the customers it owes money to? Where is the wisdom I'm failing to see here???

BBI will solve it

No hating here dada.I have no reason to.Just following issues as they are.

Why was he shown the door? Several other "heads of departments/Directors" are still in office. Why him?

My point is those Directors messed depositors big time and its wrong for them to have moved to new jobs before Chase is solved.
