Hapo sawa....Mr Marende was elected to the board by the company’s shareholders, with state help, given its 50.8 per cent shareholding.

NSE names Geoffrey Odundo as new chief executive

The Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) has appointed Geoffrey Odundo as the new chief executive officer of the bourse at a time when the capital gains tax has been introduced in the market.

He officially takes over from Peter Mwangi, who exited the firm at the end of September last year for Old Mutual Kenya as chief executive officer.


Mr Odundo, who takes over from March 1, has sidestepped Andrew Wachira, who has been at the helm in acting capacity since the exit of Mr Mwangi.
