I am quite surprised by the level of pessimism about the British American IPO in this forum. I have looked at fundamentals. The company is in a growing industry(financial sector, that grew by 10% and is the largest contributor of economic growth, its balance sheet is very good and getting better, subsidiaries like British American Asset Managers are market leaders(17 billion in assets) and the opportunity in insurance is just strting to be exploited and thus there is room for growth. and they have appointed a new guy at Asset managers division. check

At Ksh9, this is the cheapest share in the sector and if precedence is anything to go by, can only go higher!
So, whats the beef with the offer?
