Extremely. Actually it's not only sustainable but scalable

One can only bottleneck from the top.Its what separates a tunnel from a bottle. Its the heads that need to roll stopping selling of tickets is the epitome. and then how else to do to offset losses, loss of customers goodwill, traffic and will that address issues as raised or basic fundamentals?
What is basic is a restructured re-look at fundamentals:chest thumping will result to breakage of the rib cage and expose the heart and provoke the hurt.

Strike still on now to that add CDL strike...noma.

God is speaking directly to the management at KQ. I would be glad if I was faced with such a reckless act at this time.. Its now or never.. Time to bring out the stone face

Who should wear a stone face? The one is who mismanaging or the one demanding change?

The notice is not a reckless act, Ngunze is being reckless by releasing results propped up by proceeds of asset sales and threatening to stop sale of tickets. It is a very foolish gesture.

They went and discussed immediately with the god fathers how to counter the strike. They do not care about the interests of other stakeholders when their's are being taken care of?

@Ngunze has indeed dissatisfied me on this latest release.. He should have cancelled the ticket sales for the effective start date of industrial action and announced no-pay for days down. Its reckless to keep selling whereby notice to down tools has already been issued by the two large unions

Stopping sale of tickets at any point is like digging your own grave. This is a very reckless statement and it goes along way to prove how incompetent this fellow is.

In fact, KALPA's notice was carefully worded to protect the safety reputation of the Airline.

I have fingered the general staff at the airline for being nonchalant and the so said carefully worded strike threat is a case in point. The staff want to kill KQ!!!

Ngunze must go. He is the one killing KQ. Wait for the confrontation, the pilots are not backing off this time round.

What else do you need to prove the mismanagement being overseen by this character?

@Ngunze will go, but that will not stop delayed or cancelled flights by a crew that slept at 1824 and calls in sick, or ground crew who pilfer baggage, air hostesses who are shabby and rarely smile, finance guys who suppress ticket sales for personal gain, procurement that seals underhand deals.. Its @Ngunze who initiated the audits. Its @Ngunze who has delivered reduced loss by amazing margins. If given sufficient time, @Ngunze would have made KQ the Pride of Africa

He initiated audits which exposed him badly?

Everyone makes mistakes including Dr Mwangi who famously emptied Trade Bank safes. That one error of Dubai bank account opening by @Ngunze is minor to me. The share I up 6% today and tomorrow we are likely to touch KES 4.60.. Boarding call was already issued, but we are still on the tarmac, it's not too late to jump in

Dubai bank a/c opening to siphon 400 million isn't a minor fraud and only one Ngunze is involved. There is more than meets the eye, it could be up to a billion, more in-depth investigation required to get the actual figures. Monthly kickbacks from the operation of SPVs, the list is long. The latter explain why the guy can speak so recklessly.

You nailed it. The root causes making KQ to perform dismally must be addressed. What Mckinsey is being paid billions by Ngunze to do can be done by a competent Finance Director. The guy appointed to act is the one who oversaw the mess in Cargo, billing discrepancies of up to $ 5 per kg. running into millions of lost revenue.

KQ needs an urgent overhaul of the top brass.

Will only buy after the results which are bad...and thereafter Ngunze's resignation.

It is unlikely that Ngunze will resign.. He has a name to hold and the turnaround thus far is directly linked to his wisdom.. He has managed the company par excellence as CEO

He is going home...wait and see.

I have also heard, and even after the 11 days I will wait.

Even a mad man knows this guy is among the executives who slept on the job. He is just being protected by the cartels.

I am not a mad man and I have said it here before that Ngunze is a victim of circumstances. He joined KQ in 2011, became CEO in Dec 2014. Should he be blamed for issues that have dogged the firm for years past. I don't think so.... Mr. Mbuvi Ngunze is CEO, Executive Director & Group Managing Director at Kenya Airways Ltd. and Secretary at East African Cement Producers Association.
He is on the Board of Directors at Kenya Airways Ltd., Jambo Jet Ltd., and Lewa Wildlife Conservancy.
Mr. Ngunze was previously employed as Group Vice President-Internal Communications by Lafarge SA, a Managing Director by Hima Cement Ltd., Finance Director by Bamburi Cement Co. Ltd., and Audit Manager by Pricewaterhousecoopers.
He also served on the board at Mbeya Cement Co. Ltd.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Nairobi.

He was at all meetings in regards to project mawingu...the mother being one where TN used curse words infront of all managers accusing them of delaying implementation of the strategy...He can have that rosy CV but its time for him to go...even Ciano was well decorated.

Ciano had corruption embedded in his DNA. Similar to Naikuni.. Ngunze on the other hand is clean. Being part of a sinking ship does not mean you did not play your role right.. If assigned to check the sail or engine and I do my part.. Why should I suffer from a coxswain error who decided to go rudderless. Further from human psychology, it is not thinkable that he would hold on upto now, if indeed he was guilty of misdemeanours.. Not with the audit and Senate probe ongoing.. Indeed he could eventually be forced to leave by the mobb but I believe he means well for KQ regardless of whether or not he owns shares in the airline.. Though I would prefer that the CEO hold substantial shares to solidify his passion

You are aware whose interests the Ngunzes take care of, right? Hint, the other Ngunze is at CBA.

I am fully aware of the same and I believe that his sponsor is incorruptible too

Ngunze may take a final bow.. Talks ongoing as at now

The die is cast.. We love you Ngunze, but we love KQ even more

Tuesday 1.49pm I got a call from my good friend @Ngunze where he admitted that pressure from the led had made him step down despite the presidency wanting him to stay on.. He could have chosen to battle it out but even in disembarking, he has shown great humility and grace.. I applaud

If you do not trust the board/management... bail out!

While KQ is losing PBT of 1bn/month ... KK, Unga, KenRe & I&M are making money for me every month!
