But I think the Popats are progressive. They earned my respect for having the guts to add Bavaria Motors franchise to their business.

@Gathinga, thank you, what I meant is that Atul Shah is the guy who helped the Mzee of Tuskys change his small shop based in Nakuru to what it is today.
Why, apparently Atul fled from Uganda and was housed by the Mzee of Tusky's....sopmeone back up.

There is something in that maji of Nakuru... Many of the 'matts' started there!

Is Ukwala a Nairobi brand or from upcountry as well?

Tuskermatt (Tuskys) + Nakumatt = Nakuru
Naivas = Naivasha
Woolmatt = ?
Ukwala = ?

Nakumatt doesnt own any of Tuskys
Tuskys owners and Naivas are cousins
Nakumatt owner and Wollmart are Cousins
All these hail from Nakuru and the four are family friends

@kularaha - It makes sense to get real professional... but I remember at Uchumi after Suresh Shah left... the 'professionals' who came in with chris kirubi... destroyed the kampuni!

That can't be true coz he moved to Simba Colt. With such a rep, he would not have got the job at any other employer
