Value investing isn't a "US" strategy. It has been around for as long as investing has.

My grandfather probably never heard of the term "value investing" but he knew value when investing.

Stop trying too hard to get people to sign onto programs/training that offers lessons in "Technical Analysis" at a fee. Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

Do you even understand what value investing as described in the OP's article is? Laughing out loudly

Apparently, you even thought "Value Investing" is a US-gleaned strategy. Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly
So what were the Europeans doing before the "Value Investors" in the USA showed up?

That said, I am open to what your interpretation is. Please explain where we are wrong. Thank you.

- The CBK does not maintain a de facto peg to the dollar, because the shilling moved from 100 to 108, it maybe maintains a peg to other things including the euro
- The Fed and its policies are rubbish when it comes to domestic investing here in Kenya
- We can talk all we want about BV, P/E, P/B, value investing etc ad nauseum here in Wazua, but nope! All these concepts were not invented in the USA. My guka was practicing them and so were the Europeans hapo zamani za kale

You are Wazua's chief investing braniac indeed Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

Are you guys only discovering this today?
Were you not warned years back? Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly
Have you not read the "first world markets shenanigans" thread?
How can value investing work when the rules of basic economics have long been thrown out of the window by the Fed?
The problem with most of you is that you are very sharp academic types, meaning serious obeyers of rules and orders you are fed through books and newspapers like the WSJ.That is how you got beautifulbut useless A's from primo to Masters level. When it comes to practical living, thinking and acting you are fishes way out of water.
Comical, reallyLaughing out loudly

Kenya is not the USA.

This is an amazing statement.
What you are saying is that the Fed does not matter even though the dollar is the world's reserve currency and our very own CBK maintains a defacto peg to it Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly
Simply incredible that you think that what the Fed does has zero impact on Kenya Laughing out loudly

Dear @Amorphous,

How does a de facto currency peg work?

You are more illiterate than I thoughtLaughing out loudly . What does this look like to you? Do you think according to the laws of economics and currencies that it is NORMAL and EXPECTED for a currency to roam within a very narrow band for 3 years without an interventionist central bank de facto pegging one currency to another?

If you still have to ask after the chart above then who can help you? Laughing out loudly
As I said hapo juu earlier. You chaps were the "straight A" students who smashed exams with A, A, A, A, A fuaa but ended up neither well rounded nor having practical wisdom. This is why I can bet with 100% confidence level that not only do you work for an employer (Laughing out loudly ) but also stare at your boss's face daily knowing full well that they performed way worse in school than you yet lord over your every move.
