For example,the michuki-era speed governors that worked well for many years were replaced by electronic ones that barely last 6 months ensuring steady income for the cartels who import them. By the way,NTSA only checks the gadgets during Inspection and after an accident but you can always 'buy' data from them if your the speed governor was not working.
