It's losing, what did the shareholders want?

Shareholders wanted at least div. kes 1.5 too ambitious above EPS of mere kes 1.1

Bob Collymore gets 2 years

Commendable job team Safaricom. The job is not finished, the shareholder expectations are sustainable results in the future and consistent dividend payout.

People used to ask when safaricom will return an Eps of Sh.1 following the huge number of issued shares but they have surpassed this now. The sky is the limit as long as the management remain focused. Congratulations to team leader Bob Collymore for excellent stewardship and the additional 2 years tenure.

Work hard at your job and you can make a living. Work hard on yourself and you can make a fortune.

I'm guessing there were some investors that were disappointed by the FY18 guidance.

EBIT of Shs71-75bn for next year isn't terribly exciting.

Disclosure: I've got a beneficial interest in Safcom shares.
