this wazua downtime is definitely caused by somebody performing ddos (distributed denial of service)on the website.many a wannabe hacker because its brief and completely shuts down the site.the best solution as somebody has pointed out is using cloudflare service.its the cheapest ddos protection around and ddos protection isnot cheap.@admin
use it instead of giving us stories

Apparently this downtime issue is 'browser dependent'. Chromox, UC Browser and the ubiquitous Internet Explorer work just fine on my Windows phone.
A temporary relief is for end-users to use unaffected browsers.
Currently Opera doesn't work on wazua.co.ke domain.

Did you mean Chrome? If yes, Wazua was not accessible through it too for the better part of Sunday.

Chromox is a Chrome-like web browser for Windows Phone Operating System.

Just before I did the earlier post, I tried both Opera and Google Chrome on a phone that uses Symbian Operating system. In both instances I couldn't access wazua. I now can. This post uses Opera on a Symbian OS phone.

But Chromox worked on the Windows Phone and I did the earlier post using it.

I was doing an 'end-user trouble-shooting'.

Truly, Wazua is a labor of love. As with all like toil, we can't fully explain how much heartache the down-times cause us.

Merry Christmas

It is difficult to find a panacea for Wazua Withdrawal Disorder.

As such, step up your efforts to fix this issue.

While you are at it, the latest News Update is dated Dec 21 at 20:28.

Those are not News Updates. They are moments of Ancient History.

It is now 12:46 East African Standard Time.

Hi admin. Were the investigations into the previous outage conclusive?

Dear @chemirocha,

We remain vigilant though we traced causes of the last three outages (surprisingly occuring on Weekends) to:
(2) malicious registry update
(1) administrative DNS domain outage

Please bear with us.

Even giants like Google and Facebook experience the occasional outage. As long as you guys stay on top of things, the entire Wazua community will continue supporting the entire team.

I have been browsing various sections of The Virtual Republic of Wazua for the past three hours.

Within that period, I have not detected a single advert anywhere.

What is?

1200 hours east African standard time.
