Jokes aside the earnings from UCL are not to be sniffed at. One gets the feeling Wenger is an accountant at heart, no wonder his employers were unruffled even with his long history of misses, as long as the money kept rolling in. Now the pain will be acutely felt in the pocket. If Wenger leaves and a competent guy replaces him, we'll have a much edgier EPL...good all round.
This is probably the best thing to happen to Arsenal
