Arab foreign ministers accuse Iran of undermining regional security

"Iran has to decide what kind of neighbor it wants to be: a good neighbor or a chaotic neighbor and so far it behaves like the latter," UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan said following an emergency Arab League meeting in Cairo.
Quote:
If Iran continues to support "terrorism, sectarianism and violence", it would face opposition from all Arab countries, Jubeir told a news conference following the meeting.

Ethnic differences. Arabs and Iranians are Muslim but Iranians are not Arabs.

Arabs are Semites like the Hebrews but Iranians are Aryan/ Caucasian.

I think Iranians are Persians, very different ethnicity, just like the Kurds and Pershmagas and Yazhidis.

And 50% of the lebanese are christians.

Iran foreign minister accuses Saudi Arabia of 'hatred and sectarianism'

Mohammad Javad Zarif: Saudi Arabia’s Reckless Extremism

Quote:
The Saudi leadership must now make a choice: They can continue supporting extremists and promoting sectarian hatred; or they can opt to play a constructive role in promoting regional stability. We hope that reason will prevail.

@sparky, what is driving this Middle East conflict right now is an issue, which is 40 years old i.e. since around 1979.

The Sunnis and Shias is a MYTH.
The Truth is about POWER.

So it is POLITICS! POLITICS! POLITICS!

The unfortunate thing is, people who are supposed to be learned and enlightened always fall for these FALSE FLAGS.

Just like how tribal violence are done here locally Sad Sad

The main guys - the protagonists, the owners of the faith and its shades/sects appreciate that the differences are real.
There is a reason why the area is viewed as a tinderbox of sorts.

@nandwa, if anyone told you they own "a faith", then you were fooled. If you can find any difference in the Quran or in the Hadiths of the prophet, then come back and let us know. Otherwise, just know this is all about POWER and POLITICS.

Somebody said once, "all this sunni vs shia narratives is a product of LAZY, SIMPLISTIC, CLICHED journalism meant to allow Western instigators to avoid RESPONSIBILITY from the mess in the Middle East which they helped create"

Shia, Sunni divide is a reality. It doesnt matter how much in denial one may want to be. Oh and it is fashionable to blame it on the West... and did I hear lazy journalist!!
As some peripheral latter day convert shouts self hoarse in denial, the main players acknowledge the reality

@impunity, none of the above. He was born in Makkah, in the present day Saudi Arabia. He lived in Makkah then moved to Madina at the age of 53. His father's name was Abdullah, his mother Aminah. His profession was business man, then a Prophet.

Okay.

Unlike @Jesus (Christ), @Mohammed (pbup) was married, and NOT one to wife, two or even 4...but married to several wives, more than FOUR.

So why did he strict his followers to only marry max. 4 wives? what did he discovered wrong with multi-marrying?

Did @Mohammed(peace) have any bros and sisters?

Comoros jumps into the fray

Quote:
Moroni (Comoros) (AFP) - Indian Ocean archipelago and Saudi Arabia ally the Comoros said it had cut diplomatic relations with Iran over what it termed Tehran's "aggression" towards Riyadh.

A foreign ministry statement said the Comoros viewed Tehran as "interfering" in "the internal affairs of certain countries" and "not respecting diplomatic conventions".
