I am trying to look beyond what I can see...

You are seeing some fellows who were arrested and will be charged for being in the country illegally...Me, I am seeing some individuals who have illegally spent more than an year in Kenya carrying out some illegal activities (the focus for any functional government would be for those illegal activities)...

You are seeing some fellows who will be charged in court for possessing unlicenced telecomms equipment...I am seeing some fellows who possessed some unlicenced telecomms equipment which they have been using to carry out some criminal activities related to cyber crimes (the focus here would be for the government to know to whom all the data and voice including video files were being sent to who and why)

If there has been intensive communications between Kenya and PRC, you will not know anything since the bigger guy wants it to remain a secret affair...like somebody said, could be these rens were busted by other agents and may be PRC knows it, but would not want it to be known that her agents had been picked out...

My only question to you @herdsboy...what do you think those boys were doing in Kenya for more than an year and what were they doing with those equipment...forget about fraud in china committed in Kenya...

Your theories sound more like a movie script than the reality of the situation.

Do you honestly think that agents of a foreign government would be paraded in court on petty charges?

@kalenjinherdsboy I think Kaigangio has a point. Why would the Peoples Republic send such a high ranking government official (a whole prime minister) just to come and seek release of some petty crimes idiots to be tried not here in Kenya but China?

Wewe @herdsboy toa goggles and look at the bigger picture...
Let me ask you another question...Some ownership of some chemicals is prohibited by the law. Supposing you are a security agent and you came to my humble aboard and found me with 5 litres of methylbenzene (prohibited), 10 litres of Nitric acid and 15 litres of sulphuric acid.

I bet then you would arrest me immediately and arraign me in courts for illegal possession of a prohibited chemical compound...right?
...besides, the presence of a safe alone does not signify that there is money inside...

Wee ngoja!!!some people will be very disappointed when they hear that an exchange programme has been agreed on and that the zhong guo rens are on their way to Beijing. Whatever they will be exchanged with...nobody will ever know.

But seriously, this command centre was a big cash cow for security agents right here...

I am quite sure the NIS, the Police, the CID and the immigration knew of the existence of these fellows...

Let me throw a spanner on the works...Muhoro was saying that one of the servers caught fire and the fire spread to the rest of the house...I believe with the current technology any equipment fitted with a switched mode power supply has very little chance of catching fire since the protection circuitry is very good and efficient...

The way I see it is, some senior security beneficiaries of this command centre got a whim that other security agents would be going to arrest the rens...they called the rens and alerted them of the impeding arrests...the rens options were limited except for burning the known house (equipment) to conceal their activities.

This happens all the time here...
...besides, the presence of a safe alone does not signify that there is money inside...
