We would be screwed whether KDF was in Somalia or not, presently ( or in the near future) leave Somalia or not, a point many here have pointed out over and over again ...terrorists are lunatics, just having Christians here walking about could be reason enough; May be you are hard of hearing. 1998, remember? We did not give a shit about Somalia, happy to let them shoot themselves to kingdom come with their silly civil war, still, we were attacked. In fact, strike that, we were not that unfeeling; we opened our borders, and let in a few hundred thousand of them come live amongst us in our cities and towns.
You seem sympathetic to this ISIS, gleeful about their advance, which by the way is leaving destruction, piles of bodies and rivers of blood in its wake. Your tacit support of them is vile and revolting. Nobody should be killed for their religious beliefs - or lack thereof

In this day and age its not easy for a useless militia to comeup and get to this kind of sophistication without the govts watch and aid. The question should be who's supplying them with this kind of artillery?

Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly I guess I will accept the mark of the beast coz I will never bow down to a cult founded by a child molester who used to have conversations with the devil! Where do I sign up, never seen such levels of delusion!!! If there's one religion I admire its Sikhism, free lunch offered by the congregants to Everyone, yet they don't go around shouting about how good and holy they are and certainly don't contradict themselves by wishing death and destruction on non believers Shame on you

Cute, brother.

While everybody is checking out the middle east and the events therein watching for the unraveling of prophecy in their television sets ,,,,,,,,

Guru, sister, I have no doubt in my mind that indeed one would have accepted the "mark of the beast" to prove they are not "Muslim". Some contention, actually a lot of contention, exists on who this "beast" is and what is this "mark".

It will be most helpful to identify this "beast" and his "mark".

The secular world has made religion a worthless entity!

The constitution and the UN Charter are superior to any Word of God in todays world!

That is why the US cannot stand to see a Sharia state in existence Sad

We all know in our Qurans and Bibles what God did to Sodom and Gomora and why...
but today we all push for homosexuals to adopt children because the holy books are just fables anyway right??

A time will reach when it will be seen that the world is better off without any religion and then it will be you either give up your religion or you die or are jailed!

Anyone practicing a religion and praying to a fictitious God in the sky will not be allowed to buy or sell!

A Godless society!

At that point you will know who is the "beast" and what is the "mark"!

Ultimately, Scripture must be understood as God, or Allah would understand them, for them to be true.

That is, if one understands Scripture below God's level, then truth of the belief is doubtful.

And since God must be a possessor of infinite Wisdom, so must our meditation be of infinite Wisdom.

So, is God a respector of religion? Or creed? All religions, even of the ancient prophets, and creeds, are but glimpses of light, a light that has always been there. Before humanity.

So what's a caliphate? Who is Man? What is ISIS?

Yes, and for a very good reason. We need a common denominator that determines our co-existence as human beings on this planet.
The common denominator cannot have religion in it, because one religion says something, another religion says something else.
Was it not you @guru, who in this very forum castigated Shia muslims, considering them not muslims enough? See here

And such contempt for merely a different interpretation of the Islamic faith, but which shares basically the same canon. And how do you feel then about other religions, about people who choose not to believe in a deity?
I do not want to live under your Muhammad's law and I have no desire for you to live under the law of Moses or Christ either. What and how you interact with your God is your business.
When God was raining fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, we Africans were blissfully ignorant, were we not? Same for Asians, people of Oceania, Inuits etc etc...we can assume they were not following the laws of Moses, why didn't God hose them with fire?
Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism and other religions arrived on these shores from other places. They are religions of other people. Wrongly or rightly depending on your outlook, we allowed ourselves to lose our indigenous religions. Yet we murder each other over faiths that are not ours. There is nothing wrong with practising a chosen religion, but can you not try to subjugate others by using it as a tool of oppression, rule and politics? This is what these murderous ISIS want. It is also why the UN charter you speak of is important.

Guru, sister,

Then it seems the "beast" is not some individual or "animal" or something/someone. It seems, from your description of events, the ideology of human beings, people, has a central role to play in the unveiling of the "beast" and the "mark". Thoughts, or point of view. Belief.

So far so good, I am with you and agree with you.

And some restriction will be enforced on those who are not "conforming" to the widely held and popular view. I agree too.

Apart from Godlessness and secularism, is there another pointer to what this ideology, belief, point of view, the beast is/will be? For example, Godlessness in which particular when all around there is explosion of congregations and churches (albeit with mpesa pastors - moot point) and increasing conversions to Islam. It seems there is an ironical increasing "Godfullness" in various shades, shapes and sizes.

I am sure when these things start happening, sensible evidence will be in plenty and skeptics will be speechless.

Like the Iraqi Govt, the Kurds have also asked for Western air support against ISIS as they hold out their positions in an uneasy calm. ISIS have armed up using US weapons left by fleeing Irqai forces -
