I don't think its the 14-seater matatus that cause traffic. Mayhem, yes, traffic, no.

This is a good idea that is a long time coming. Every civilized city has a public bus service. It is especially needed to serve areas that matatus do not want to go. Plus matatus have been mistreating the public for too long.

The much–hyped mass transit bus system meant to serve residents of Nairobi City County will not be in place in June after all. The Chief Officer in charge of Roads, Transport and Public Works Christine Ogut told a public gathering during a presentation of the county budget at City Hall that planning for the system was still in the formative stages and that no budgetary allocation has been made for it.

Maintaining a flower bed outside the walls of your property will cost an annual fee of Sh5,000 if the Nairobi County Finance Bill goes through. The charge will mostly affect residents in the more affluent neighbourhoods who keep manicured flowerbeds beyond their walls.

Businesses, especially hotels and restaurants, which like to adorn their frontages with potted plants will now have to part with Sh20,000.

it's raising funds.... what is the rationale for paying for anything? parking fees? licences? hizo zote ni kukulia tu for the sake of 'public good'
