A strip of three photographs bounced around cyberspace Tuesday, showing a recent photograph of Vladimir Putin alongside two other snaps — one from 1920 and the other 1941 — that show Russian servicemen who bear an uncanny resemblance to the Russian leader.

Conspiracy theorists claim the conclusion is obvious: Putin is immortal — or at least he’s a mystical time traveler who has been serving the Russian people for centuries.

“In fact, supporters of the thesis that Putin is almighty and immortal have launched a story that their president is a mythical creature that resides on our planet for hundreds, if not thousands of years,” according to Disclose.tv.

And there’s another nutty theory that links Putin to notorious 15th-century Transylvanian leader Prince Vlad II — also known as Count Dracula.

“Is Vladimir Putin in any way related to the other famous Vladimir — Vlad Dracula,” according to news site Report24UK.info. “A series of photos circulating today seem to suggest that the Russian leader has been alive for a VERY long time.”

For the record — or at least as Moscow would have everyone believe — Putin was born Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin in St. Petersburg on Oct. 7, 1952, making him 63.
