What does it take to remove a sitting speaker? Justin Muturi thus far is a disgrace to Jubilee and the republic as a whole.

And this shall be the lead story in keshos SN. Is it that the originator is a journalist who was doing research here or is it that there r journalists in Wazua who picks our threads and translates them to their stories?

haha, @washiku- I am definately not a journalist, i wish i got paid for discussing my observations. But there is not doubt someone is poaching ideas from wazua, especially this one...

I just happend to have noted how the NA is churning out bills that do not help this country move forward. The 11th parliament is easily the most useless branch of goverment right now!! And we have to pay these goons all that money every month. Most of them are first timers in parliament and the power has gone to their heads.Despite being the most paid lawmakers in the world they still want more money, and yet they do nothing!!!
Starting wars with every institution in the republic is NOT the way to go.

my thoughts... (now that journalist has something to put tommoro- i won't mind)

All we'd ask for as Kenyans is some reason. Is it that there are no laws to be passed that have a direct impact to Kenyans? Is parliament that idle? By cutting the legs of all independent institutions, what do they wish to achieve? What powers are they seeking for? What if they are overlooked and the courts refuse to implement the laws that they pass? what would they do? they cant force the courts to act, can they?

What if treasury, in their right minds refuse to withhold the judiciary funds as parliament recommends? what do they think they can do? to which court would they take such an issue? Parliament needs to know it cant hold the country at ransom and they cant rule the country alone. they need other arms of the government to operate, not so?

Are they forgetting they can be recalled? if they antagonise the courts, wont they be more than happy to bid them good bye through such a provision? In any case, everyone is getting tired of this crop of Mpigs.

You are still stuck in the parliamentary system. In a presidential system the speaker is a very partisan position representing the majority in the house. I like JB Muturi he does not beat around the bush, calls it as it is. He reminds me of Nancy Pelosi you will surprised how she pushed through obamacare. That's how a speaker is supposed to be speaking for the majority

Before 2010, Kenyans were tired of the presidency. It was very powerful and had to be cut to size. One of the means adopted to reduce the powers of the presidency was to require the input of parliament in matters executive. The National Assembly grabbed the chance with both hands and they're now showing who has the real power. Powerful presidency is yesterday's news. We've new tyrants in town.

They already flexed their muscles with SRC. SRC took a bow. They then flexed their muscles with their small brother - the senate. Senate had to look for cover in the courts. They're now going for the judiciary and the executive. The day you hear the president complaining bout parliament, know that things are tight.

Welcome to 11th parliament!!!

"This is not Kibera!" As if to assert the Speaker’s unfortunate comment, the Majority Leader Hon Aden Duale finished it off by yelling "it is not Kibera and we are not selling fish!"

Last year i shouted myself hoarse as I told people the National assembly was where proper powers sat in this new constitution. people shouted that it was the senate coz it could 'impeach the president' sas watu wanaona the national assembly at full force. if I was to change something I would add a clause that those summoned before the national assembly should have to appear before it within 90 days of the order. coz its important to have civilian oversight but people should not just be interrupted from normal duty.
