Even previously at Treasury,Kamwana,Njuguna Ndungu,Waweru,Kibaki etc.I support the devolution of languages. When in Nyeri I have problems with them, let them undergo the same at our places.

This must be a joke! Is this man assuming that everyone in the assembly understands Luhya? What education level must these people have to hold these positions. If they finished high school, shouldn't they at least be able to communicate in Swa?

What happened to National Language?

I think it's fair for those who have problems in communication. After all this is a county machinani affair.

That wud mean all people living in that county all speaks that language, right? Remember the constitution allows anybody to live, work n own property anywhere in the country...

theoretically yes, practically NO!

NONESENSE!!!
Consider counties with more than 1 'native' tribes! e.g. Marsabit County has Rendiles, Burji, El-Molo, Borana and Gabbras, which tribes will they be speaking?

Isiolo County has Borana, Turkana, Meru, Somali and Samburu. Which one will they be speaking?

Tana River has more than 5 'native' tribes including Pokomo, Orma, Kamba etc, so which one?

WACHENI KUGAWANISHA WANANCHI!

Applause Applause Applause ushasema!

You are talking as if you have never attended a meeting with more than one tyranny and you are not one of them. We are used to that. KK just wants adopt from their abantu brothers. and i mean what i am saying.

well two wrongs dont make a right

So since they (be it luhyas or kaos or kyuks)cannot express themselves in english or swahili, should we trust them to run things? How do we know if they can understand the things they need to do their jobs?

There is this advert that keeps coming on TV. It insists on "its your right to attend the county assembly meetings" So the language used should be one that can be understood by all. The most compromise there is Swahili, assuming not all people who live in a country speak the same language.

The things some people say sometimes amazes! How does not being able to express yourself in English or Swahili mean inability to do their job!
