Bwana Doba, I have heard it from very credible links that this chap badly sold out Jakom to the engine room (you which one) of Jubilee. He was the real mole within who kept the other side up to the minute on Jakom's every move. You can verify this but it's widely known by insiders.

I just think UMK should live this guy out of his government. He is a self seeker who Jakom wasn't able to unmask until the damage was done!

I can't call complacency 'selling out'

Again I ask. Who shortlisted him? For what job? Why would one want to shortlist him? Kuleta kazi kwa vijana ama mahindi kwa wakenya?

by that act of applying to work in the jubilee goverment just goes to show you what he thinks of RAO chances in 2017

His kids have to eat NOW, not in 2017! And in any case, if he wanted RAO can work out a deal with UhuRuto and get a jobo or some business and you are there waiting for 2017 while your kids starve!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

The guy has applied for a job adevertised in the dailies for any qualified Kenyan, he has been shortlisted, chida iko waphi, we read poritiks even where we should not!!!

Valid point!!! These jobs are for Kenyans NOT Jubilee, Cord, Eagle etc. But Caroli has major integrity issues that might be a major roadblock to getting any government job. But then again we have valid issues that have been raised on one of the "principals" [or maybe even both] and he is in office anyway! This is Kenya. But I hope and suspect it will not be business as usual if the names read out yesterday are anything to go by!

The guy was among more than 1000 kenyans who applied and has made to the 155 persons shortlist!!!

The last time I checked, he has been cleared in every scandal where his name features!!!!

Ok.Even Pattni,Saitoti were cleared for their cases on Goldenberg, same to UMK,WSR and IEBC on accusations of stealing votes.

I thought this is the bullshit we are trying to get rid of!!! Business Men + Deals [Kenyan Styro] = Corruption.

McDoba - Comment on this story in general and the agents money in specific. What do your sources tell you?

How do you expect Jubilee to recover the billions spent on campaigns and build a reserve for the next elections? This is Kenya but you are free to wish and imagine.

Let him cut deals outside the government. People of questionable past do not have the moral authority to hold high profile positions like the PS or Cabinet Secretary. Good thing The PORK set the pace yesterday.

I wonder why @Mawinder is always encouraging corruption. Is this how we will ever achieve double digit economic growth????

The clearing process/authority can be called into question. What with all the characters that have been "cleared" in the last couple of years - Patni is one of them but I highly doubt he will be getting a government job any time soon.

Being cleared in Kenya doesn't mean you are innocent. It simply means you know how to play the system and you had STOLEN enough to go around. And Kenyans know this. How many Kenyans for example NOW believe Patni is innocent?

That corruption talk is analogue, just like protocol stories, etc etc. Perhaps that life-changing moment for Kenya has come early?
