Even the TNA/URP brigade were invited.....normal practice in mature democracies.

uhuruto were invited? I didnt even know whether such a practice exists in the western democracies but it could still have been smart political play by chungwa strategists.

@ mc satap! In mature democracies, you do not form a coalition and then send out invitations to parties that are not members asking than to attend your nomination and state that the invitation "will contribute greatly to strengthening the partnership amongst the members" .

Thing is,i believe we will not see Hon. Karua running around like kina Ngilu and the bishop na kina shebesh.......she will hold her ground - on a matter of principle

My take at realpolitik...Martha karua is a horrible politician,

Peter Kenneth; a well intentioned but an unskillful novice, no pathway to victory and a bit too idealistic to survive the rough and tumble of it all. May be what kenya needs

William Ruto an impulsive but determined man of action, laudable for trying to control all variables however uncontrollable they may be

Kalonzo; never saw a fence he dint want to sit on, too emotional and hesitant. Relies too much on factors out of his control, doesn't know how to turn current situations into an advantage, sucker for punishment

mudavadi; loyal and carries a narrative well once on your side, thinks too short term and bad at the long game, rarely gets favorable outcomes, has a penchant for poorly thought out decisions out of a variety of more viable alternatives, seems to rely too much on input from others. Hardly memorable as a politician

Uhuru; a stable and relatively patient politician, rather poor at trust building and deal making, does not cultivate reliable interpersonal relationships but generally reads the game correct and well,

Raila Odinga; simply brilliant in adversity, revels in it actually, great at getting favorable outcomes from unpredictable scenarios, very adaptive. good at attaching believable grandiose moral high value narratives to his actions, however factually incorrect they may be. Wonderful at campaigning, horrible at governing
