Centum should take over this project and get it done.

If they make such an announcement, expect Centum shares to hit Kshs. 2000 overnight!!!!

Not sure how these events they are organizing work for them..

This time, they invited us for a "Morning Coffee run" ... November 8th.
If i'm free, I will go and hear what they say during the talks afterwards...

Centum taking over Tatu City is a dream;they don't have the money and they are so much stretched in terms of the debt they have taken.
Two Rivers project they ceded 42% to the investor who pumped in $70mn and are now left with 58%.

I think once Centum complete Two Rivers, they will have shown that they have the capacity to undertake a world class mega project. The core competencies required to do a Tatu City would be in place. Financing should not be such a big problem for them; they don't have to fully own the project and they could do a REIT or raise money for that purpose.
There are very few Kenyan companies that have the capability to undertake such a project.
I hope the Tatu City land will not end up being subdivided into little plots to create another slum-like unplanned eyesore.

I think this is what going to happen. The land will be subdivided into plots and sold to individuals. It could be another Runda if handled properly.

The issue is who is willing to buy the project at hyper inflated prices.
that is what caused tatu to stall.Price of plots was over hyperinflated

People will buy, price for 1/4 is 7m which i think is cheaper considering the prices of nearby membley which is not seviced. I think what they need to do is to give time limit between buying plot and construction.
