Our nation state is tribal, corrupt,and rejoices in the slavery of the many by design.
If a 'good' candidate is running for president, then he/she must lose 'goodness' for the system requires something very different from him.
But let the 'good' person come up with a different system. Can he do it by himself? Or can he achieve anything by executive order? Certainly not. You must rise up and be the leader, asking about other leaders is an attempt to excuse yourself from duty.
