We have been asked a query on whether the On going Analog to Digital Switch will affect users of satellite platform. The answer is No. Satellite platform is already digital and that's why Digital Satellite Receiver (Decoder) forms part of the FTA Unit. For the benefit of members and users, i have listed the common DVB (Digital Video Broadcasting) platforms. *The change is on content and not mode of transmission.

DVB-S (Digital Video Broadcasting-Satellite): Is the original
Digital Video Broadcasting forward error coding and modulation
standard for satellite television.

DVB-S2 (Digital Video Broadcasting-Satellite_Second Generation)
-Satellite broadcasting is already in DVB.
