To be fair, while I do not expect much from his leadership, we should watch what we say or how we say it, we do not want another PEV, he has alot of fans and too much criticism of his character may stir up emotions. Im sure there is some good he has done.
Kibaki on the other hand should be given credit where its due. This is such a huge step forward.

@Nabwire, there is a loong thread on Kibaki too. We have threads on other politicians with supporters too. Let us apply the rule of objectivity. What has he done?

We know how hard he worked for a new constitution,So will I be wrong to say that he gave Kenya a new constitution?
very wrong.he is just good at trying to take credit for what he has not worked for.
Jus blazin this is why we cannot talk of his legacy yet because of such responses you see above.
As per now everything that will be said he has done, all the credit will go to Kibaki since he is the president.

Lets suppose I agreed to that premise....would you also mind starting a thread on the legacies of
Uhuru Kenyatta
Ole Kiyapi
Ruto
Karua
Saitoti
Wentagula
Peter Kenneth
You know in the interests of being very very fair. Ama ni Raila tu alifanyakazi in Kibaki's gov't in the past 7 years.
You do realise that its Kibaki's gov't don't you?[
/quote]
The failure of this government are Kibaki's failure and the successes both Kibaki and Raila's as co-principals.
Case in point for failure, tribalism and lack of national cohesion. Case in point for successes, kabita. Discuss.

I believe @kiash is asking us what RAO has done since 2008 when he became PM. Let me push it back a bit to 2003 when 'they' started governing Kenya. His legacy:
1.Demolitions to pave way for construction of by-passes.
2.Shooting down Kilifi draft in 2005.
3.Leading a political machinery aimed at ethnic hatred.
4.Corruption
5.Nepotism
6.Leading Mau forest campaign and evicting illegal settlers.
7.At the thick of 2007 violence, being the man who could stop it if he wanted to, keeping quiet and enjoying it until the violence touched his community.
8.Visible leadership-always talking about issues, first to get to site of terror attacks etc, good with crowds! This is what most Kenyans want BTW.
9.Political entertainer.
Kitendawili....Farasi ni wangapii..Hao wengine ni ninii...
10.Populist-Wants public approval and will sometimes flip flop just to please them.
@Lolest.This is a good summary.Add to that
11.failed coup in 82
12.Reckless in his utterances and lack of emotional IQ to be a national leader
13. Add the story of nyoka and shedding of skin. Si mliona nyoka? (I get his analogy but for a kawaida guy in mashinani, this is a very divisive and dangerous statement)

14. Introduced different priced maize flour for the poor and the rich
15. The greatest party hopper
16. Cannot last in a coalition full term
When I have money, I get rid of it quickly, lest it find a way into my heart.
