@ alma,I agree with you on the Kenyan tragedy. These people have been suspected of committing the most heinous crimes on earth. If convicted they become Hostis humani generis(enemies of mankind).History will classify them in the same group as slavers, pirates and as you said the likes of Hitler. What I dont understand is why Kenyans are so passionate about these fellows becoming their leaders. It shows that there exists some hidden bloodthirsty sadism in most of us.what a shame...

If you read DN and Standard facebook updates yesterdays on Kibaki -Mungiki meeting, the comments should tell you we are not out of the words yet, some much negative energy, tribal sentiments and hatred.

I do not think Kenyans are bloodthirsty and that is why they are debating in defence of the suspects.

We are a very political and ethnically divided country. The Kikuyus and Kalenjins are defending their princes who they think were victimised since the king the Luo community who was also involved in the violence was not charged. Whether they are justified in this claim is another issue altogether.

Think of what the GEMA reaction would have been if only Ruto & Sang charges were confirmed. Or what the Kalenjin reaction would have been if only Muthaura and Uhuru were confirmed. Or, to throw a spanner in the works, what the Luo reaction would have been if Raila had been charged.

All the above would give you different reactions! We now have two types of bigots:

TYPE A which believes the ICC is all evil and cannot be convinced otherwise. Such have gone to an extent of claiming Ocampo was bribed by Raila!

TYPE B which is merely looking for the spilling of blood and praises ICC like a god and will insult anybody who faults the ICC on any point branding any opposition as anti-reform, merchants of impunity and such other jargon borrowed from the civil society.

In the end, it's all politics, ethnic feelings and an issue of perception of (in)justice at the ICC.

Aren't you people asking yourselves why UK and Muthaura have not said anything since the ICC confirmations? I bet this two will probably step down voluntarily very very soon, then MK kama kawaida will appoint Kimunya or Michuki in acting capacity. I think that would be the best decision for UK because it will get people off his back and give him time to strategise for the elections....after all the ICC trials will take time before they start.

I am inclined to take a similar view:

1. It is a fact that the violence after the elections was planned by people with means to cause mass murder and God forbid genocide (in as far as ethnic cleansing is concerned).
2. The retaliation of the violence meted out on Kikuyus and Kissi in Eld, Burnt Forest, Molo, Kuresoi, Sotik, Kapsabet etc was planned by people with means to cause mass murder all based on ethnicity.
3. It is a fact that there is no justice in Kenya for the downtrodden wretched masses.
4. It is a fact that ICC did not initiate the "Kenya cases" out of its own initiative but the clarion call "don't be vague...." is still fresh in memory.

NOW here comes the absurd part:

1. After the political settlement of the PEV mess, the warring factions blur their differences so much so that the principal perpetrators form a common political arrangement to capture the top leadership of the country.
2. The warring sides are implicated by the ICC through some so called ethnic/tribal "princes" and the educated Kenyans (Wazuans atleast) prefer to see the events through the eyes of their "Mpig" politicians.
3. Do the victims deserve justice? Or are they lesser humans? Do they deserve compensations? How when even their property has never been returned to them?
4. Does the Kenyan middle class have a vision for the country? When we sing the song of the masters of impunity? Can we provide alternative leadership?

THE FUTURE IS VERY BLEAK INDEED! VISION 2030? DELUSIONAL AT BEST.

Uhuru and Ruto - both cases are confirmed:
These 2 come together and PNU alliance gets life - Kalonzo is nominated as the flag bearer through high level agreement. The 2 will need someone who can ensure ICC is frustrated. Also join forces to ensure Raila is locked out completely...KALONZO becomes president.
What do you think?

Is this another prophecy with likelihood of becoming true. Possibility has never been higher.

@Mwenza....Mambo ya mpira wewe kaa na Man Sita yako na mimi i stick with my Arsenane!

I'm almost certain UK will not be Kenya's next President but i do believe the ICC is setting him up to succeed who ever will win this year's elections. Think about it for a while ,so many people (including his rivals) expected UK's case to be dropped. Now the Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda has the hard work of proving (beyond reasonable doubt)UK's involvement in the PEV ....if she fails this guy will come back to the country as a hero and by that time typical of Kenyans tutakuwa tumechoka with whoever will be President then.
