By leaving government she will be able to champion reforms better than any other person and may just be rewarded with presidency come 2012. Listening to her and Raila yesterday,I couldn't help thinking she is more resolute and principled.

If the v-p supported Kibaki or sticked with Raila in 2007 elections the violence will not have occured. This argument about which side won the elections will not feature. Also it will not be a close race,as the victory/defeat will be by a big margin. I hope he is in the WAKI list coz he was the culprit who could not win in a single province - tribalist and a coward . And he is now faulting even Kofi Anan. What a disgrace. By the way is ODM-k party to the agreement? if no then the sit shd go to PNU or ODM.

My dearest poor Martha, for sure if they had not used her to steal the 2007 presidential vote for them,i would have voted for her in 2012. Reason being that she has not been stealing from the tax payers like Kimunya,Munyesi,Goldenburg Sitoti, etc. are doing.

resigning, well she could do that and confess her sins.

The people behind Karua`s resignation are Uhuru,Ruto and Saitoti.......

The next fall-out will be between RAO and Ruto......

life is too short to blend in

Kenyans!!!! kenyans!!!.... Skrians!!!

Its a pity the way we see things compounded by the short memories we suffer all the time.
Kibaki has his own faults,a myriad of them. But on this one I dont quite see how he has mistreated Karua. On the contrary it is Karua who has never forgiven Kibaki for bypassing her on the DPM post that he gave to Uhuru.
From then on Karua has never missed any opportunity to embarass and critique the president in total disregard to the edict of collective responsibility.
All of a sudden, she sees faults in the police force,Chief Justice,AG,Judiciary, then goes on overdrive on - Narc Kenya shortchanged in appointments, declines belated appointment to coalition committe.

It is only in Kenya where a cabinet minister can display such defiance and headstrong behaviour towards the president and continue serving in his/her Govt.

Karua has projected herself as a reformer!!!!
That is mere posturing for 2012.
I wonder where the reformer in Karua was during Kibakis first term when it was Aglo leasing,Artur brothers galore. She defended both scandals and many others.
She most spiritedly pushed for the banana constitution that sought to give the president even 'more powers'.

Kibaki is serving his mandate. In so doing he has hired Karua to assist him push his policies. Instead Karua decides to compete with him and serve her own interest - to appear the reformer as she paints Kibaki the bad guy.

It just doesnt work like that.
Karua,or any other minister who may have the best of ideas and policies will have to wait, get elected to the presidency to implement his/her policies. In the mean time as you serve in Kibakis govt, you gotta push Kibakis policies,or quit without all these cat fights.

In 2008,Kibaki wasn't a stranger to Karua.
Respect the boss or dont accept the job in the first place. You dont accept to be hired by a character you know too well, then starting drilling holes in the boat.

Don't write off ka-loser. The kaos love this idiot thief. Lakini ka-loser knows how to brown nose. Remember he was moi's pet & now kibz. He wants to make as much money as possible in the few days he has. mwau & ngilu are not much of a hindrance to him among kaos. But you can buy a kao with a kilo of sugar any given day.

...has she resigned yet? I hope she will not be like RAO,who promised us that heads would roll. We waited for a whole week and not a single head roled. As soon as she does so,please let us know. I am sure she is just about to...!!!

Skerians,

my 2 cents....I can only borrow from @BTimer.

His analysis is real.Others are fake and based on tribalism and blindness in politics.

Karua's problems have no relationship with Kibaki's leadership....whether good or bad.
It has everything to do with her competitors and number one being the male collegues from central...read Uhuru,Saitoti etc.Others include Kalonzo and Ruto.my hypothesis is that Raila is playing his game and the best person to use is Karua and thats why they are dancing the same tune......kill Major Gen,CJ and others.

Appointments in Judicially.....she frustrated Gicheru and President the last hour in 2006 even after NSIS vetting of the appointees...reason coz she had personal vedetta with Abida Aroni....

Karua is not a reformer but a dictator in the making..........
reason...remember the 2004 and 2005 writing of the constitution.....she blocked all the sections that could have brought reforms to judicially, police and presidency....
my question...why now.....

The writings are on the wall.their fallout with arap milosevic was becoz she wanted an alliance in pretext to shield the arap milosevic from corruption cases.

Karua is not sincere but a sycophant and greedy....dictator in the making and an EMOTIONAL politician.

Judicially........not once but twice.....huh!!!!

That she is raising so much heat means that she is an emerging force,or so I think!!!!.....fellows have stopped ignoring her,now they realize she is a real competitor to UK and saitoti, when she first made her intention public people just laughed her off!!!!
