I said FRAUD excepted [sub-standard is fraud]

** Deci - Hah!!! Returns of 10% per week... 520% per year? [Did you really believe them?]

*** Fake currency = FRAUD

I already wrote down my investment in Uchumi. I kind of admire what Ciano and team are doing. Cleaning the s*it left by CK has not been easy.
Time is money, so money is time. Money saved is time gained in reverse! Money stores your life’s energy. You expend your energy, get paid money, and store that money for a future purchase made in a currency.

@tony stark uchumi's best days may be right ahead. Judging a stock solely by a bad past performance may cost an investor a good opportunity, Case in point NBK @ 2.90, kplc @ 7. Judging on a good past can also burn fingers- eg cables, sameer, kengen. @vvs i agree with you that its a matter of risk vs return analysis when they relist

Nakumatt vs Uchumi

The battle of retail giants continues. Uchumi grows 17% and Nakumatt 12%.
Uchumi come in at 9.6b (Jun'10) turnover and the big brazen boy estimates 30b (Feb'11).

I can't wait for Uchumi to come back to the market. But it's clear who is the elephant now. In day's past, the elephant was a weak baby and SUchumi was king.
