The day KQ is termed as Dead, then I think we shall all have lost a vital part of our identity as Kenyans, and we can also just convert our currency, government, even ourselves to something else.

Nonsense. KQ's brand can continue under bankruptcy proceedings.
There are many USA airlines eg United, American and Delta which "restructured" under "Chapter 11 Bankruptcy & Restructuring" and kept their name/brand. Some have done this more than once.

Yes, KQ in its current format, is DEAD.

Do some of you here want to tell me Ngunze who runs this airline like his property did not know this was happening.

Anyone saying Ngunze is clean going forward must be sharing the kickbacks with him. This guy is overseeing the rot in the airline instead of transformation.

Several of these findings are still going on even now. All these individuals should be kicked out like yesterday with their multi billion consultant - MCKINSEY.

10 years from today we might all be flying with this airline

Shindwe. Meanwhile, today's closing AVP was KES 4.20.. If only the Ngunze detractors would keep quite here, we would already have touched KES 8 on the way to Qatar's buying offer of KES 17.. Three week rally continues

The "people problem" in KQ is now starting to manifest itself, this time it is bigger than ever and has the potential to ground the airline quicker than the financial problems. Unfortunately senior management is turning a blind eye rather than coming up with solutions, is it arrogance or just plain negligence?

Like i said before, the regulator will have to say something about the exit of engineers before year end.

The pilot exits are getting worse by the day and the offers by other airlines keep getting better. Fastjet is replacing their airbus fleet with embraer 190's you can bet they will be hunting for ready made embraer pilots from KQ with ofcourse better pay. Why incur training costs when you can just copy paste.

The most overlooked but important people the cabin crew (especially the contracted cheaper ones)have also been dealt a raw deal for the longest I am shocked they haven't yet made noise. I however foresee threats for industrial action from them before year end.

The house of cards is crumbling down, without any intervention it is tick..tock...

You may be right, but luckily KQ cannot be brought down by bloggers.. H1 shall be the litmus. Rise of the phoenix from dark ashes is finally here.. Someone who invested 3.3m in KQ just 20 days ago will today be counting 4.2m gross. My personal aim is not to revisit KES 126 per share.. Even KES 14 shall be good enough for my exit

@ Obiero. Since you have close ties with the boss, next time ask him how he plans to serve the wide body routes in the next few months with the grounding of the 787's for scheduled routine maintenance. Will they recall the 787's from Oman? Or will they shock the country by leasing aircrafts expensively from "you know who"?

This stock is on the verge of a sharpest pullback that'll shock many . Just wait and see on it's way down to 3bob in the next couple of days. Your boss Nguze emphasized during AGM that they have not discussed about shareholding with 3-4 potential strategic investors. Where do you find this price of 17/- you have been trumpeting in this thread?

Asante for the deep analysis, we wait to see KES 3 in the next 2-3 days

P-U-M-P and D-U-M-P ... How many shares does Ngunze own? Is he eating his own cooking?

Ngunze never planned for this. The two B787 was taken out of the fleet before the rest had the routine checks since the cycles may not have been reached. Further delays coming up. You will be shocked.

The problems in KQ runs deep. The information in the blogs emanate from KQ - Ngunze's incompetence. Do not apportion blame here.

KQ is not a safe bet. Do not anticipate any upward spiral of the share price. With Ngunze at the helm, nothing significant will happen, only blunders will continue to be perpetrated.

The statement send out by the chairman to distract the attention of the public from the leaked F. audit report is the same old rhetoric from Ngunze.

The old 18-20 months promise of return to profitability. OOOh, operating profit improved, H1 results better - proceeds from the sale of assets. Nothing tangible at all.

If the board and the management was serious enough to turnaround this airline, anyone adversely mentioned in the F. audit report should be suspended immediately pending further investigations. The same fate that met Itegi of the FX fraud.

Indeed KQ is going through hard times and a more experienced management with aviation experience would be ideal but for now we work with what we have.. vibrant results to be released on 17.11.2016. KQ share expected to touch KES 5 by end of next week. Up 29‰ in last 23 days.. The volume action is indicative of a further break out @karasinga

Purported volume action will cool off before a real upward breakout. Even from today watch out keenly.
