Mumias still on handcuffs and politics of western will depend on this. It is still reeling in shame after the biggest theft by old govt operatives.

Western do not want no sense promises for votes.

I wonder what's the idea behind leasing of Mumias Sugar? If its mismanagement, then the thieves are known, the stolen cash estimates are known, and those who authorized the thieves to receive the money are known. They should just be arrested and charged, assets liquidated to offset the lost funds. The Government should refinance the factory for the benefit of the farmers and community at large while the Anti-corruption authority follows the crooks.
Then again its a bit difficult for hyenas to eat hyenas.Shame on you Shame on you The factory is just too sweet a meal to look away. even the leasing of the other 5 factories has been forgotten while they scramble for a bite of Mumias.
