Cord ‘Agenda’ for 7/7 finally out.

My comments on the ‘key’ points:
1.Public Service Commission – Why is Cord claiming that appointments are skewed in favor of certain communities yet they are not producing evidence? How do you accuse somebody without producing evidence, and then proceed to ask him to give you the evidence? This is preposterous at the very least, even Ocampo would score a bit better
2.IEBC – This matter has already been raised in parliament and is under deliberation. Why not wait for due process to end before commenting further
3.Devolution – who will act on this plea? Why not present a bill/petition in parliament
4.Corruption – why not report the culprits to relevant bodies for prosecution
5.National security - who will act on this plea? Why not present a bill with proposals / petition in parliament
6.Cost of living – You say inflation was too high at 7%. Do you remember for the better part of nusu mkate government, the figure was mainly in double digits!
7.Irresponsible borrowing – Cord says by 2017, every Kenyan will be indebted to the tune of 140,000. We demand a breakdown of how you arrive at this figure
In other words Cord is wasting our time, but in the process losing face – a zero sum game if you ask me!!! But if this is what it takes for CORD to confirm to us beyond reasonable doubt that they cannot govern, so be it!!!

@limanika does CORD really speak on your behalf? Their members are happy and it is their prerogative. I on the other hand agree with the Court's decision... let the guys meet, provide security, hold leaders responsible for any chaos, disturbance, damage.

In fact, Uhuru should be in Rwanda I think; that's the way to carry out government business. Not this new trend of trying to blame insecurity on a Uhuru Park meeting.

Where did I imply cord speaks 4 me? By zero sum game my interpretation is that cord has managed to capture attention of everybody, that's a gain, but at the same time they are losing credibility. Zero sum game.

Mammoth should be expected in every rally they hold. People have to show up when the circus is in town, esp if its free.

Only one point of disagreement, that judge talked about mass action.

I watched Mutua wa Masaku on KTN's morning show and he had this to say:

1. Kenya is among the 30 poorest countries worldwide but top 10 in politicking

2.There are issues yes, but the way CORD is going about it is the wrong way

3.About dialogue, he said if his last election's opponent started agitating for such he'd ask them to give him time to work first and see the fruits.

4. People need to get busy. Our leaders need to get busy. The increased political temperatures are caused by people who are not busy enough.

5.Who remembers who Obama's opponent was during the last polls? The difference between Americans and us Kenyans is that they move on after elections. They allow the leader to do his work and oppose constructively

6. CORD needs internal dialogue more than this national dialogue they're asking for. This is because Mutua has heard there is a rally scheduled for Masaku yet he's not been notified/invited!
