The best thing to have happened to KQ.The retrenchment exercise was not a wise move.
Our brothers and sisters who were affected are now unemployed and some of them were breadwinners.
TN has completely un down the company.
How do u do a rights issue then retrenchment kwani the money was for retrenching people.

Not sure if this is a Boeing or Embraer. Whichever, not suited to Kenya weather.

@Deal, I strongly doubt KQ's ability to turn any profit in H1.

In fact, after their huge staff costs, their fate is almost sealed.

KQ has already indicated H1 2012-13 will be a loss. So that leaves H2 to eke a marginal profit. No profits until H1 2013-14 at the earliest!

A time like this next week this counter will be trading Ex-D. Trades on Sept 28th and onwards will be interesting. Then in Nov we get to know the H1 results. The ulcers this counter will cause...

Did Citi revaluate their 18 bob price target?

What about SIB? On 4th July they valued KQ at 20.23. They also recently reported that South Sudan is seeking a company to help set up a national airline through PPP.

Well, SIB took the fee/commissions in cash not in shares! They lied to get their customers to buy in!

Had the shares at IPO price of 11.25 and sold at 7.80. I may have a chance to acquire the shares at less than that.

Buy at your own PERIL, as long as the current management is in charge(********). Avoid this like a plague, whatever the price.

Ditto Citi, they would give an illusion of optimist. A high uptake means less to underwrite. Too bad the uptake was measly

I beleive there is unjustified pessimism about this stock...i know that it will be a good buy at a price below 10...but am yet to know the exact figure...as the price falls, the margin of safety increases...i may start buying at 9 bob.
