Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyong'o is the best performing city county chief according to latest polls by research firm Trends and Insights for Africa (Tifa).
He was followed by Kiambu's Waititu, then Nairobi and Mombasa.

Sh200 parking fee to ease burden on motorists

Motorists in Nairobi County are set to enjoy reduced parking fees from December following a promise by Governor Mike Sonko.

Governor Sonko confirmed on Tuesday that the county Treasury has factored in a reduced daily fee of Sh200.

SMH it should not only go up but also all vehicles going into the cbd should pay a congestion charge, How does reducing the fee help the city? another thing is retain it at the same rate but require that no car should be parked at the same spot for more than 2 hours, this works like clock work in many cities because no one wants to have to move their car every 2 hours with the risk of not finding another spot.

Oh my God! Kick the mass transport system that transports close to 50% of Nairobians out of the City, then encourage the private motorists who only ferry 10% of the residents?????????
