@Intellingentsia...............Spot on. Make no mistake, whoever started this thread had definitely that in mind. Never mind he has been called names,by some simpletons, in the process.

@Sheep, it's always been...

Our fate now lies with L'fools and without Torres, I doubt they'll beat Chelsea, maybe a draw but goal difference and head to head for Chelsea against Man Utd means they still beat us...I really don't see the Reds handing us a 4th title in a rowd'oh! ! Of course we still have to beat Sunderland and Stoke -imagine if Chelsea were to lose the title on the last day of the race!! Happy thoughts...

But what a race it has been, arguably one of the tightest in a long time...aluta continua!

Here's the Premier league team of the year: Joe Hart, Ivanovic, Evra, vermaelen, Dunne, Fabregas, Milner, Fletcher, Valencia, Rooney and finally Drogba.

I have issues with only two players on that list....Valencia & Fletcher. Man U fans will accuse me of being a hater but really how did Fletcher get in before Lampard? Valencia before Malouda!!????!!!

TAZ......yu still yapping about the race being for 2nd, 3rd and 4th.....bet your now realize it's for 3rd and 4th. The team of the year was picked by the EPL players so kelele yako does not change the FACTS

.....and you forgot to mention ROONEY as the PFA player of the year, the 1st English player to win it after Gerrard in 2006 and Man Utd has now won this 4 times in a row.

The race for the premiership is still very much alive, lets wait for next sato. Smano, if fools manage a draw and we win the remaining matches then we win the league by a solitary point!!!!!

Cmon McReggae, you don't really think Liverpool can beat or draw against Chelsea especially without Torres! I never expected them to thrash Stoke like that.

Btw John Terry won the PFA award in 2005

2010 will break the trend... on statistics

@ Taz

Valencia has been more consistent than Malouda. The PFA of the Year and the team of the season is voted for by fellow premier league players so who are we to go against their choice?

@ Njunge

Valencia the player you dislike made it to the list! Imagine that! Voted in by his fellow profesionals!

The voting should be done at the end of the season...but I think Flethcher has definitely had more overall impact as a midfielder for Man Utd than Lampard has for Chelsea(no bias by the way), Lampard has scored goals but I think they were looking at the overall impact (ability to stand infront of the backline, get the ball and move it forward while making the crunching tackle as well). On that, Fletcher scores just a bit higher than Lampard - that's my two Man Utd cents.

Personally I don't think the votes have any relevance to the players who get voted (or not), so what if some guys think I didn't play well this season? - won't matter to Lampard and Malouda if Chelsea win the league!

For the uninitiated, Clubs like Man United are NOT mere football clubs but a RELIGION.

Is it only me or has everybody lost taste in the Champion's league after the English teams were knocked out? This should never happen again.

Personally I didn't watch either leg of the Bayern Lyon game, not because Bayern bundled my team out, but coz the hype just wasn't there!

It's the marketing that FA has done for EPL! Anyway, as for tonights game, my bet is on Inter though Barca can easily overturn the first result. I just think Mourinho will get the tactics right again, unless a ref decision spoils the game. I hope for the former.

It'll be great to see Mariga lift the champions league, not that Bayern will be a walk over for any team that progresses!I was annoyed to see the official UEFA champions league website, in their preview of tonights game, credited the 2nd goal in Inter's 3-1 win over Atalanta'during the weekend, to Muntari instead of McDonald Mariga!

Well, Motta spoilt the game unnecessarily but Inter's resilience was unparalleled - that is easily the hardest fought victory I've ever seen, it would have been cruel for Barca to go through in the last minute...lightning clearly doesn't strike twice!

Now, back to EPL...

No no no.............I don't think Motta deserved that Red Card. The ref was just poor. Luckily Barca were firmly put where they belong at the end of the game. Call it anti-football tactics but i dont care so long as its effective and no soccer rule was broken.

I slept very soundly after the game................Please liverfool on sunday play like Inter.......Please Benitez fly to Milan for some soccer lessons from Mourinho.

On Mariga; Who'd have known that by not going to Man City, he'd get a chance to feature in the UEFA Champions League Final. A good thing he got denied that work permit I think!

No Motta means that he more than likely will be at least on the bench. Stankovic is back from suspension so he and Cambiasso should start in defensive mid.
