Funny that those who accused Kibaki of being aloof and supported populist Raila are now for Kidero while those who accused Raila of being populist and not well schooled are now supporting Titu. Same script...

You are going too far, those who accused Wanjiru/Titu of incompetence and wanted a Kidero/Mbaru contest just the other day are now firmly behind Y2T given Mbaru did not make it!!!

@mcreggae

I bet to differ with you. Those who supported Mbaru moved in masses to support Kidero until the interview. A reality dawned that he may not be up to the task and his supporters shyed started shying away.

Correction, he maybe to the task,we just hate condescending behavior. Like someone said,we can live with poverty,but you do not need to look down on us. It is that simple .

The 'middle class' berators are trying to feign outrage and now justify it that because the others dint turn out to vote for jimnah then somehow waititu is the right candidate for nairobi?

What has jimnah mbaru done for the masses? I'll try answer that

He is the Chairman: Nairobi City Council Interim Oversight Board (Presidential appointment). To oversee the financial management of the City Council. So he is responsible for improved financial management in the city

He us the founder of Jitegemee Trust (Kenya).

A Kshs.750 million micro-finance institution supported by the Netherlands Government that helps thousands of entrepreneurs start businesses and small families save for the future

He is a member of the the National Economic and Social Council. A Presidential appointment to advise the Government on fast-tracking of Economic Recovery Strategy for Wealth and Employment creation in Kenya. He is partly responsible for those double digits growth figures mwananchi enjoys

His ideas for nairobi are articulated and written in his own hand in various journal publications and books, e.g.

Converting Juja Road into a Trading Zone 2004

How Hawking in a City could be Enhanced 2006

Re-thinking Kenya's Developmental Strategy 2006

Housing Development and Economic Growth 2008

You could also look at his book Transforming Africa: New Pathways to Development.
A 540-page volume on selected speeches, papers and presentations on financial reforms and development in Africa.

Please tell me waititus policy agenda, his priorities and his plan for the great city of nairobi?

And explain to me why the masses would be better of with waititu than jimnah??

I agree..and am now officially confused.d'oh!

A reason why issue focused debates should have been carried out before the primary's. But Waititu was voted in by the middo crass, who could not be caught in line with the sweaty Nairobi hustlers who found time to go vote. Lets wait and see how it goes.

I like it when guys start claiming that they were having drinks and socializing with slum dwellers and that they spend all their time in the slums.

if an individual of a higher class than you visits your home, you don't start talking foul about his comrades, actually you unleash the vikombe za kauro in the kabati and fish out the vitambas in the ka metal box under the bed and spread them on the loose covers and charred stools, you then send out the kids and conjure up your best kingereza the one you hear smiti guudi-ya-thi speaking on the tv in the you ka local ...

@nakujua, Don't get desperate.
Is it possible for them [slum dwellers] to put up a show 24/7 365 days a year?
Are you allergic to facts? If so, go ahead and embrace your lofty thinking of what you think the slum dweller thinks,rather than what they are actually saying.
As i said earlier.YT2 is for tna die-hards and the pretenders.

Now i know it is okay to talk about what we saw on Tv but woe unto you, if you dare say what you are hearing from the horse's mouth. Thanks to one @nakujua.

Opps!! sorry if touched a raw nerve - I am sure your ngo is doing a great job through out the year, i said I like it when guys claim they spend time with people in the slums, some people would not dare make such claims, kdr juu.
