Only 2.5% of Italians have Covid-19 antibodies, government study shows

"According to the survey, almost a third of those who tested positive for antibodies were asymptomatic and the most frequent source of infection, in 41.7 % of the cases, is from a relative living in the same house."

As we wrote earlier antibodies are lost in less than 4 months especially for asymptomatic cases - so the 2.5% are fairly recent infections. What it seems is that long term Immuninity is granted through T cells. They remember the infection and when attacked later... they instruct the immune system to produce the needed antibodies.
The T Cells that remember the old SARs seem to be long lived (17 years to date) - so it may be that once you get Covid... you should get lifetime (or at least long term) immunity

Niiiiice...I especially like the fact that the PDF version of the articles is free....But the app is little clunky and buggy (clicking on different papers within a topic keeps bringing up the same article over and over again on my laptop) also not sure one can search the database? but am sure AM will fix this...

American company forced to halt production days after its restarted

Both plants, as well as other Ford plants across four Midwest states -- restarted production Monday after suspending production for about two months because of health concerns.

Going forward this will be the main concern especially in educational boarding institutions a scenario where somebody tests positive inafungwa then re opened .What if somebody else test positive thereafter ...
Challenging times ahead.

I think schools will have to scrap their boarding sections for the time being if they are to reopen.

"While many in the world were surprised by COVID-19, those of us who work on animal disease were not. This was a highly predictable pandemic," said Delia Randolph, ILRI veterinary epidemiologist and lead author of the report.

Do we have a way to support vulnerable families without necessarily giving them money. Like shopping basic groceries online. Supermarkets that support online shopping.
