When arsenal gets some win through a vote, it's ok!!!!....if it's Man Utd then the english just did it coz they are english.......mmmmhh!!!

Was just wondering aloud why this one you announce without at iota of analysis and lambasting of the english people/press the way you do when it's the other teams!!!

@ Smano, you cannot say that City and Chelsea distorted the transfer market yet Christiano Ronaldo's (former Man Utd Player) price tag was 80m pounds. What you don't get is that before the oil money came in, City and Chelsea had average players in their squads while Man Utd with the funds available to them were able to attract top players without any resistance from other English clubs....Arsenal had to move from Highbury to Emirates so as to generate more revenues for the club. City and Chelsea had to spend to become competitive but the problem is that clubs around Europe and EPL put ridiculous price tags on their targets because they knew the owners of the two clubs were desperate for success and could pay for it. Man Utd on the other hand had the funds to keep their top players and buy at what was THEN ridiculous prices.

SAF's problem is that he now has two major rivals in the transfer market as well as L'fools and Arsenal who are now well capable of competing with them financially. I believe Man City's strategy is to go after all SAF's targets and sign them before he can even put an offer on the table. Reports suggest that Hazard's imminent move to man City might have angered the Man Utd manager because he had already identified him as a priority signing this summer.

@Taz, surely every player that any club shows interest in cannot go to City, can they. In fact I never thought Hazard would come to United, even if City never showed interest, I thought he was more likely to go to Arsenal or Spurs, if they made CL football, maybe coz of their style of play. Secondly I don't think we need Hazard with the wingers we have, even though he can go straight through the middle. What we need is Modric and a Jordi Alba who looks set to join Barca - Evra's best days are over. With Vidic returning, SAF has the option of developing Smalling and Jones as cover, now that Johnny Evans seems to have come of age, while Rio should slowly be edged out due to age and lack of pace. Rafael is still a liability but Smalling or Jones can cover. While Cleverley will only get better, Anderson n Fletcher are out of form and will take at least a season to get back, Scholes and Giggs cannot play all season and Carrick should really be a fringe player, hatoshi mboga! But those midfielders will not take us to the promised land i.e. a 4th European title. Hapo mbele we just need a new guy to replace Berbatov who will likely leave, apparently Utd are interested in Lewandowski of Dortmund but guess we'll see how that pans out.The last time we finished 3rd in EPL was 8 years ago and before that I can't even remember, so we'll still be in contention, even with stronger challenges from Arsenal, Chelsea & Liverpool. Personally I think Spurs will lose a bunch of players if Chelsea win the CL so we'll wait and see on that.

Anyway, bottom line is EPL is set to become more interesting and that's great for all fans. I hope we become genuine contenders for CL title year in year out, but I'd also like to see a cushion on EPL titles to 20, just in case Liverpool have the season of their lives and equal 19 titles (sounds strange saying that, hehe).

@ Smano, SAF was interested in Hazard but kama kawaida the player has gone to the highest bidder. I believe next season will be even more competitive than this one, i can only hope Wenger has learnt his lesson.
