In that case, My Dear, here is the next episode of the 2017-2022 Waiguru-WaNgirici Cat Fight.

Just this week, both the County Government ambulances and Ngirici Rescue Team were seen at the scene of a matatu crash along the Sagana-Kagio road, of course at different times.

Sadly, the discourse since then has been who came to the scene first instead of the gravity of the accident, what really happened, and the recovery of those injured.

And the people are not happy with this.

The reality is that there can only be one government at a time and if the Woman Representative is sincere in her desire to offer services that are similar to those offered by the county government, she should donate the resources she has to the government.

At the end of the day, there can only be one centre of power in any county or country, and in Kirinyaga, power rests with Governor Anne Waiguru – albeit for now!

Kirinyaga Governor Anne Wauguru on Saturday called for the arrest of Kirinyaga woman representative Purity Ngirici and her husband over Friday's heckling incident at a meeting attended by DP William Ruto.

Morning @mahegoat, what is happening in Makima ? What is the history of the land being claimed by both the Embu & Kirinyaga people.

I would not take the warning by Governor Waiguru lightly. And I think it is fool-hardy for anyone to dare the Mwea residents to a physical duel. It can get extremely ugly. Worse than Mt. Elgon.

The madhouse that is Sonko’s City Hall office

Quote:
Sonko’s typical day begins at 5am, or thereabouts, depending on how late he stayed up the previous night. When he arrives in the office, he is brought breakfast from a nearby hotel, his favourite sausage and eggs being part of the helping.

From 10 am, most of his meetings are punctuated with glasses of Cognac, his favourite brand. And, being a master of camouflage, next to the glass is always a package of apple juice. You can hardly tell he is in fact enjoying his whisky unless you’re an insider.

Occasionally, a number of Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) join in for a drink as the day wears on.

“What got me worried when I started working for him is the idea of drinking in the office. Yet interestingly, his confidence level increases and the tone changes once he has taken considerable amounts of the drink,” a senior officer said.

COMPLEX MAN

Multiple interviews with current and former City Hall staffers, some of whom started with him as Makadara lawmaker, revealed a complex personality that may appear easygoing with the masses but hard to please at work.

“When you take, say, 10 issues to him, by the time you are on the third item, he has lost concentration. He will begin checking his WhatsApp messages or log into Facebook for updates on things that are trending. And all his handlers know this. The moment you see that happen, you will be wasting your time if you continue talking to him,” an individual familiar with Sonko’s operations told the Sunday Nation.

“He has no regard for procedure, process or protocol. He does what he wants, when he wants, how he wants it and with whom he wants it,” another aide said.

“There was a day we were meant to meet an ambassador in town but, a few minutes to the agreed time, we suddenly saw him live on Facebook from Mukuru slums. It was chaos,” one of the handlers recalls.

One of Sonko’s ministers told the Sunday Nation in confidence that cabinet sittings are never without drama.

“In the middle of a serious discussion, he may remember that he was to send someone money, picks his phone and starts giving instructions to the person on the other end. You have to wait for him to finish,” said the CEC.

We really don't care about what happens in the meetings as long as services are delivered.. I would want to read about what plans they have in recovering the money stolen by the Kideros.

Great Choice...Hopefully we see some change in Nairobi in the coming few yrs. Governor Sonko is a done deal!

Just how did we get into this mess? In a city with the highest concentration of professionals in the country - doctors, bankers, engineers, lawyers etc etc. We are doomed. I should run for governor to save the city....

The strongest argument against democracy is a five minute talk with an average voter.

When supposed well educated and exposed Kenyans on this forum say an ex-convict suspected of drug dealing is a great choice for Nairobi governor, you know we have hit rock bottom.

Applause Applause That's the best way to deal with bureaucrats they will waste your time with non-issues and endless excuses. Sonko is actually very good in attending to issues raised on his fb page. He acts on issues even the ones we raise here on wazua.

So far Sonko is still doing well if that cognac helps him perform it's cool with me. The hawkers are out of the streets, the street pavements are being worked on, matatus are not blocking moi avenue and will be out of cbd soon. Sonko is generally doing well implementing the Nairob master plan to take transit hubs out of CBD.
