Magigi wrote:I like Raila and I voted for him...I woud vote for him again if he stood... But tabia zingine...By using the normal lounges would that make him less of a Raila?... The saga of the Kisumu ferry way back comes back to mind! These are some of the reasons why we lost in the elections. We should learn to have the humility of Mother Teresa... Hear what Jesus said "But when you are invited, take the lowest place, so that when your host comes, he will say to you, 'Friend, move up to a better place.' Then you will be honored in the presence of all the other guests" Luke 14:10. If I was RAO, I would be caught by cameras queuing with raia waiting to be served at the airport Lord, thank you!

Thought VIP Lounge 2 is for VIPs as well, ama what's the obsession with having to use VIP Lounge 3? Luck is when Preparation meets Opportunity. ~ Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Aden Duale explains the situation as has been explained so far by KAA but goes on to say that KAA will amend its rules as well as have extra lounge to avert such in future like seriously, even if Raila is milking every situation as someone has said here, and which he or his hang-ons are, he is not asking for his own private lounge.... all he is asking is admission in existing lounges.... is that too hard for anyone to get? Accord him the respect he deserves and lets hope we wont get into some petty "fights".... It's that simple.... But in my opinion, if i were Raila, i'd milk the opportunity of being seen mingling with Raila and have a chance to clear the doubt that he is a demigod.... infact, you win more hearts with humility than appearing on the first page fighting for a nusu something.... that's not the publicity Raila needs..... may be his PR guy should learn what to target when it comes to winning the hearts of kenyans..... Crying "wolf" or playing victim all the time can only get you this much.... you cry wolf once, and then capitalise on the "good trait"..... like humbleness will take him places politically...... me thinks..

But look the guy wants to be treated like he is president...He is not...His advisers want him to be dropped by the doorstep of his plane. That is not the practice...That is a preserve of a president. I don't think the issue is so much of the use of the VIP lounges but the treatment that he should get. As someone has said if he queued with other travelers the whole of JKIA would come to a standstill as the staff stop all that they would be doing to accord him the respect he deserves...But to look like you are bulldozing your way...well...Makes one want to believe the Kisumu ferry story!!!

Like @thimioni said, JKIA has three VIP Lounges – 1. the State Pavilion for the President of Kenya and visiting Heads of State, 2. the VIP III Lounge for the Deputy President of Kenya and Retired Heads of State and 3. the Government VIP Lounge for Ambassadors and Government VIPs. So RAO doesn't want to use the Government VIP Lounge but wants to use the VIP III Lounge. Like someone said, Bill Gates came into Kenya unnoticed... Given there will be a function at SH, the next tantrum will be about the calibre of journerlists who went to cover his homecoming.... Anyhow Kimemia and Co.Please ensure VIP lounge I and II are well locked and not accessible as the Xtry is not expecting any visitor in or out. But lounge III should remain open and tradional dancers should hang around just incase.......... Love is beautiful and so are those who share it.With Love, Marriage is an amazing event in ones life time, the foundation of joy, happiness and success.

I don't think the issue is about lounges or anything, in my opinion, what RAO wants is to be accorded similar treatment to a retired president. "The purpose of bureaucracy is to compensate for incompetence and lack of discipline." James Collins
