I missed the train the last time it was in the sub 30 territory.
I will be one happy man if this repeats.

hahaha! no wonder qw...... amenyamaza sana siku hiziLaughing out loudly

Anyway the NSE is as tricky as hell...seems most likely to touch 5000pts by mid 2011...the problem is figuring which stocks will be the leaders...well, u can wait to spot the leaders but the challenge is to get you order filled before a super fast 20% price advance(to have sufficient profit margin so as not to panic during a severe pullback) since the leading stocks will be gaining 9% per day...within a month the stocks will probably have doubled in value...you will already have missed the boat for the rest of the year d'oh!
The utimate goal of investing is to buy low sell high;if we re-write this core equation in psychology terms it becomes buy fear sell greed.

@ baum. Do u still want to urgue that kq will drop to 40. I told u 45.00 is the final resting place for this stock. It cannt and willnt go any lower. It wld be disastrously cheap.

@Proverb if you dont understand how a business operates dont invest in it...when KQ collapsed from 140 bob to 24 bob...oil was trading at $145/barrel...the world was entering into a recession...there was PEV...there were all thid flu pandemics flyiiing around...2010 has been a tipping point for Africa...The World Cup & all this M&A's...last time i flew KQ it was filled to the rafters...Africans prefer flying this days...no of tourists coming Kenya id on the UP...this share has been battered for nothing...and i'm telling u this is the cheapest share at the NSE in terms of value at the moment....wait for the interim statement it will suprise...

@the deal - I am sure you would be happy if KQ flew to Windhoek!

BTW, I agree coz I fly African routes & they seem to fly almost full... And with folks transiting through Nairobi from Dubai/China!

does not mean much for those who bought at post kshs100...coz even if the results are good.. a rally to 100 would give birth to new millionaires aganst earlier buyers who would be just breaking even....
p.s..am talking as a trader..not an investor..

Kenya Airways: Most new routes are breaking even: Kenya Airways management confirmed on Friday last week that six out of the seven routes that the airline opened last year have broken even. The airline also indicated that it is firm about opening nine new routes in Africa and the Middle East this year. For any of the airline’s routes to break even, the passenger load factor (PLF) needs to be above 62%. The airline’s load factor lags the global industry of c.70%, mainly because of its African positioning; the airline earns over 50% of its revenues from Africa. However, we realise that yields in Africa are higher than in other regions, which acts as a buffer for the carrier. The fact that the new routes opened last year are returning profits points to favorable results. We thus expect good half-year results when the numbers come out in either late October or early November. On the downside, the airline’s order for between six and nine Dreamliners from Boeing is still hanging in the balance. This is bad news for the carrier’s aging fleet.
