I dont think this project is for people to buy and plant trees. It is a residential project and there will be controlled development and rules surrounding what one can put up.

However, I'm sure an Amiran greenhouse would do quite well while buyers wait for development to begin. I understand there are several boreholes in the area so water would not be an issue until Mhasibu dig their own (which I was told is part of the project).

They have already sold 500 plots, and have 800 left. Thats a huge uptake given the short period of time they have been selling.

Trees are a source of life. Who wonna live in a place where the only green you can see is a discarded Yes campaign cap?

Any member of Mhasibu who have purchased similar plots in the house, to furnish us with more details. I call the lady Caro 2day and she sticked that they have done their due diligence and it is for the willing buyer to trust them. for members they are going for 175K , 20% deposit and balance by end of October.I also smell a "Caveat Emptor" why don't they furnish the buyer with necessary info

Some update from a press notice in the papers on 26th August:

- Mhasibu has completed plot selection for their Ruiru project I last saturday
- Plot selection for Ruiru project II on 11 Sept
- 98% of Juja plots sold (woohooo I am an investor and am shocked at the speed at which these have been sold!!)
- Meeting for all stakeholders on 25 Sept

Looks like things are moving along nicely...

@Kularaha - those are good news and am also suprised by the uptake. Mhasibu didn't struggle marketing for Juja plots. Probably their good name is paying off

@ KulaRaha
Selection of the Ruiru plots was done on Saturday. It was not through balloting but based on completion of payment. Juja is now on. By the way Mhasibu ain,t thugs but one of the best managed SACCOs infact the maximum loan is 8M

Milken, does that mean one gets to select their plot earlier if they pay up in full faster?

You only get to select earlier in the sense that on that selection day you will be the first to pick your plot.

A friend called Mhasibu yesterday to buy a Juja plot.

Sorry, they are all sold out!

Good news indeed. I understand someone else is now selling in the area at 275,000 for an eighth.

unless you work in an accounting firm or have some training in accounts. but that does not prevent you from buying a plot when they are selling you only pay slightly more. like the plots they sold last in ruiru members were paying 675k nono members 700k
hope that help

Any one with more info on the proposed JKUAT university & BYpass to Thika close to the Mhasibu plots in Juja.
I heard Daykio have purchased a 100 acre plot there and would like more info.
I always buy plots from them and I'm very curious

Nyari,am only aware of the proposed relocation of Wilson Airport to an area along the Ruiru Eastern Bypass near to the teachers sacco plots.I tend to think also that's why they are being bought at high rate and the prices rising.I recently acquired one from those teachers only to go back and find the phase 3 are over. They are now in phase 4 going at 470k. If interested contact githukusm@yahoo.com

Mhasibu have an advert on today's 'Nation' pg 40 on sale of plots:

1.At Kisanju shopping centre near St. Anne's Academy, (1/8 of an acre) for 350k and 375k for members & non-members respectively.

2.At Nyeri county next to Mt. Kenya Academy - 1/4, 1/2 & 1 acre for 490k, 900k and 1.4m respectively for cash purchases.....Installment prices are 700k, 1.3 & 2m for the respective acreage mentioned above..

For those people who know the 2 areas well, advice on the area in terms of :
a) The mhasibu pricing vis-a-vis the areas in terms of development and the social amenities
b) How developed the areas is or the potential
c) The kind of or ideal development in the areas e.g residential, flats/ commercial etc
d) Any other detail(s) that may assist in decision making..

Cheers
