I wonder why they haven't announced Q1 results for the group. The bank published, but not the group. Could it be that the insurance has made massive losses that will eat the profits made by the bank?
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

Too soon, i think. Will at least wait for H1 results.

Where do you put your money after offloading your cfc? too much trading erodes your gains. I can't believe co-op is still rising, though i made a respectable 60%. I would now have a whooping 130% gain without the pesky commissions.

@ sparky. The stocks price nearness to its 1 year high shld hav given u the cue to hold for better prices. I saw co-op from miles away. I then shoutd my arse dry guys get in for the ride and i hope they did. Nobody in this forum knows when CO-OP are releasin their results.

@all how come cfc stanbic holdings only released bank results but not for the overall group? Does anyone know how the insurance arm is doing? The NAV of Cfc stanbic is 60 shillings @ the current price of 71.5 it doesnt look attractive anymore like when i bought it @ around 43,i'm also not comfortable with the -200 PE...how will the restructuring unlock shareholder value? I cant answer the above questions so i took my 60% profits, overall i'm going on a holiday next month:))))

@the deal only time will tell if yours was the best decision. I hold on coz of the demerger speculation, the better expected 2010 results and since all stocks are rising anyway.

@qw and sparkly i met my investment target/goal on cfcstanbic initially i was hoping for a 50% return...my decision has nothing to do with cfc price(mostly set by investor sentiment)..it may continue to rise or fall...i think i cant buy cfc @ 71.5 bob...i dont see value @ that price...ja i'm going on holiday...i think i have enough money now...LoL...but first exams in 2 weeks then i'm out of Kenya for like 3 month...

On matters concernin KQ i think we all forgot one important investment principle. That when the eps fall for two consecutive quaters we shld jump out off that stock. Funny enough we jumped into it. I guess we have all learnd that principle the hard way.
