If looking for a residential plot,I've also got this 0.25 of an acre next to Muthithi estate off Kiambu road at kshs 2.7 million. There are nice residential houses dotting this area.

Do these rates reflect the diminished value (slums,linear settlements) expected of the northern bypass?

The problem with equality is that we desire that it be with those that have more than us rather that those that have less

@Waria
Red soil contrasted with black (cotton) soil in regard to construction.

It is easier/cheaper to build on the former.

On cotton soil,you scoop all of it out,and are left with a trough to fill with costly hardcore.

Even around the compound the bloody black soil gets so messy when it rains,that, you got to cover it up.... with....bought..... and transported..... red soil,which friendlier to gardening.

@Waria - red soil is easier to build on and does not require the depth you need on black cotton soil (which in some areas they dig out and put red soil below the foundation). Red soil is more stable.

Talking of plots,I bought 0.5 acre in Thome1 in 2003. I left for the USA for studies and I am now done and preparing to come home next month. I am consindering selling it (quick sale) because I need money to resettle in Kenya. Kindly someone tell me the price range in Thome1. When I left Kenya in 2004,both my neighbours were nearly done constucting their houses on their 0.5 plots. Kindly someone help me with this please; I could dispose it through this site for your benefit.

Thank you very much and God Bless.

Hi all,I'm very keen on land in Runda Kigwaru area,especially if certain i'm not dealing with con men... That's something all should look out for nowadays... Perhaps if you know of someone - perhaps one of the wazees - interested in a clean sale you can drop me a mail on nmucheru@gmail.com? I'm looking for 0.5 acre there.
