How did it go?

I am about to get some land for farming and have been thinking of potato farming and came across this thread. A couple of questions though

1. @ Prawn please share your experience if you ever started the project

2. @ Mwafrika or any other person. am mathematically challenged kindly explain to me what you meant by "Optimum potato yield is roughly 10 tonnes per ha"

3. The land is in the rift valley and timboroa to be exact, are there any preferable species of potato for such areas and where would i get them?

4. How did all you guys who have the same project running circumvent the brokers

5. How logical is it to transport the produce from the farm to nairobi esp when you hire the transport?

15 k per year is a reap off.
Average bags per acre depends on potato seed and fertilizer
800 per bag is a joke, the last time that happened was like 4 years ago
