The same Ngina whose family looted this country rapasciously. Who used to make money by selling Ivory.
Kenya is neck deep in debt and we are paying people former firstladys over three times as much as the richest country. Are we dysfunctional or what?
This worries me, more so when the beneficiaries of official or legal corruption are the ones leading the war on corruption. This is looting of public coffers legally. Let them return what has been stolen from Kenyans especially by political elite since independence. We can actually say that the the creation of independent commissions to combat the challenges that we face has not worked as it has only created more jobs for the elite.
Our national challenges are deep rooted, sorry to say more than BBI.The courts have become more of the haven for looters and criminals than for the victims. Court cases take long to defeat the course of justice. Why can't a case be decided in a month especially corruption cases comprising of economic crimes.. Must we put that in constitution to have it happen? Why can't we ensure that no public servant earns more than say 500 k and no more perks.. It is public service for God's sake. The political class has been raping the country since independence.. Something must give.
Democracy does not belong to the dead
