I actually didn't think this thing would be this bad. US is used to this fires. By the way, is that cat up there alive or it died in that relaxed position? BBI will solve it :)

I agree that ethnic minorities are more vulnerable to natural disasters. It has been proven over and over that when a disaster affects minorities, the gava there is less responsive. The political pundits quickly start shifting the blame to the victims using words like "failure to heed warnings" and "too much dependence on government". The same pundits will be asking "Why do they live in fire prone areas?"
Look at how dismissive trump was regarding the hurricane in Puerto Rico. You think he would insult them if they were white?
Also the gava there is less likely to invest in disaster preventing infrastructure if the location is mostly inhabited by minorities.
