Apparently Kalonzo is angling towards forging a working-together of sorts with Jubilee.

He said he will talk to Moi, Kibaki, Mama Ngina and even Uhuru.

Of course the last one is the ultimate target the rest are on the list for diversionary reasons.

Now, if he was ever going to work with Uhuru, shouldn't he have done this while he had better leverage to at least negotiate for 'something'.

If he does (and I suspect he already is doing it) he will have to settle for makombo, passed to him through the back hand.

Kalonzo is one hopeless politician.
All he does is wait.... to react. He can not act proactively.
Even the eventual reaction is tiring-ly dragged and underwhelming.

Look what he is doing now; - somehow Muthama is his main point-mand'oh! d'oh! d'oh!
Muthama...., the same guy who abandoned him at high noon in favour of Raila, tried to vie on ODM ticket only for ODM to shy away lest they rub the entire Ukambani electorate the wrong way.
Muthama who we all saw during the retreat at Maanzoni, demanding that Raila take the oath at a time when Raila himself was reluctant to.

Muthama who hobnobbed with the core ODM clique that kept pulling the rug from under Kalonzo's feet upto the day the Oathing!

That is the guy now leading Kalonzo's troops!!

Kalonzo doesnt get it, he should simply retire!

For these politicians, its not just about winning the big seat. Actually the trend nowadays is that politicians in the community own the tribal king-pin. Coz only by galvanizing masses to support their 'kingpin' they can be assured of their own survival in politics. The king pin, therefore, is in it not just on his own volition, but is victim and property of these politicians and their interests. But he is also in it for the money e.g. from nomination fees, political party funds, funding from governors etc, and then, ultimately, if possible, the house on the hill. But the house on the hill not the only driving force.

Kalonzo is very slow, then to add to that he hangs out and gets advice from useless people (Muthama). I think even Sonko is smarter than him (he may not be polished, but he seems to know what matters most.)

Kaos need to wean off Kalonzo and look for forward thinking leadership. In 2022 Kalonzo will be 70 if not approaching 70. Time to rethink/recalculate/redraw their map towards leadership.

What a name change.d'oh!

ODM --> ODM-Kenya --> Wiper --> OKM?

Kalonzo was never in ODM!

You are forgetting the Orange movement won the referendum in 2005 and kalonzo was in this camp.
When it was transformed into Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Kalonzo was in it.
Later wakakosana na Raila. Melon disembarked and formed ODM-Kenya...

This is one thing that people keep throwing stones at Kalonzo for no reason! There was an orange movement in 2005 yes but ODM hadn't been formed.

ODM was formed by lawyer Mugambi Imanyara during the height of the orange movement's success. He wasn't a member of the orange referendum just a risk taker who thought he could make a quick buck by booking the name.

So after the victory at the plebiscite, RAO & Co go to register ODM and find the name already taken. By a Mt. Kenya guy! They blame govt. They move on and register ODM-Kenya(It was funny that RAO was okay with -Kenya for ODM while he was taunting the NAK wing when they opted to register NARC-Kenya. He said "sasa utasikia wameunda NARC-SomaliaLaughing out loudly )

For most of that period, Kalonzo was the preferred presidential candidate. But RAO's people start asking "How come we are always supporting others(Kibaki, now Kalonzo). Sis pia onawes kuwa rais"

Orange splits. Kalonzo is heckled in Mombasa. But Kalonzo eventually wins because the party papers are in the custody of his protege. A lawyer by the name Daniel Maanzo.

That's how the disgruntled RAO ends up looking for lawyer Imanyara. They get the party from him(or bought itsmile ) and they all defect to ODM from ODM-K.

Hivyo ndivyo kulikuwa

the reason Raila left ODM-Kenya was because of the issue of NOMINATIONS... Kalonzo's boy David Maanzo! Kalonzo grew a big head after a certain stedman opinion poll where he led everyone including Kibaki! and Raila dissed him that the opinion pollers were looking for the "most handsome man"
