Am wondering what else they can costs on..
Hata drinking water kwa ofisi hakuna...Sad

They have quite a bit to do on the finance costs... and that is where I think it'll get interesting for the current shareholders.
There are too many opportunities all around. Open your eyes and maybe you'll spot one

Employees can carry water from home or drink the borehole water from taps in the washrooms.

If this summary is true, KQ really needs to get out of this fuel derivatives hedging business - a whole 4.1bn gone on this line alone, AISSHHH!

A meal of billions at KQ:
Turnover 106bn
Gross profit 25.4bn
Operating profit 0.9bn
----- 😦
Currency loss (4.1)bn
Net loss (10.2)bn

Since business is cyclical the time KQ will be out of hedging is when derivatives shall be beneficial. KQ is trapped between indecisiveness of the movement in oil prices and demand to deliver from new management.

Let's see cashflow statement, equity changes statement and financial position statement.
The blackhole is in operating profit. Efficiency is nil(zilch) kibugu here-0.9bn. No ability to surmount these evil spells or good ones as obiero may wish everybody to think.

But a gross profit of 25B is orgasmic...this can really turn into a yuge net profit if non core expenses are well controlled.
This company is a gem in the trough.

Agreed. A lot of positives in those results. A loss cut of over 16B is not good enough, but commendable. Smart money is definitely taking notice http://live.mystocks.co.ke/m/stock=KQ

Still crap...a massive balance sheet restructuring is required for this airline to turn a profit... Maybe another rights issue or preference shares to pay down debt... Still a lot of work need to be done... Nothing to celebrate here
