That rant is not logical...a huge number of the "jews of Kenya" are below the poverty line and would be happy not to pay rent.

Let me keep quiet and focus on my work...UK for another term then we get WSR...

Do you want UK?
Or are you resigning to a "forgone" conclusion?

We all have one vote this idea that things are forgone conclusions is how Hillary lost and how brexit happened.

Vote for who you want irrespective of the "forgone" conclusion.

I got tired with this country...

Hio ni sawa. We all get tired. I am tired with my job but that doesn't mean I wont show up to work.
Voting is a patriotic duty that is demanded of us very rarely, often once every 5 years, and only requires we vote for the best candidate for the country.

You only have 1 vote.

Great article by Ndii, I think its applicable to everyone, the bigots are everywhere. I do believe his reference to Kyuks is simply based on his personal experience.

Like the way he describes how people's behaviors were impacted by blind faith and a desire to belong (crowd mentality) in Rwanda and in Nazi Germany.

@Hardwood, don't let the messenger change the meaning of the message.

Is that something a leader should be advocating tacitly or otherwise!?

While I dont agree the Jew analogy trash, methinks a people are justified to be wary of 'somebody' they suspect to be targeting them.

That is not to say any group should cite excuses (such as we had the best candidate bla bla bla) to perpetually remain in power.
But failing to acknowledge their concerns where those concerns are legit is to be part of the problem.

Agreed. That would be the secret to winning this election. Someone who can empathise with the downtrodden, regardless of tribe.

This Ndii has a problem with being an okuyo. Also only an idiot of a man goes public regarding what was discussed in private and in confidence. If he was approached as a consultant regarding a certain proposal, why go abusing the client in the newspapers? What kind of professional ethics are those? Do doctors go shouting in the newspapers that client X who came to see them had gonorrhea etc? No wonder waeguru described him as a foolish/stupid economist. This D is a very stupid man. I stopped reading his articles ages ago since they are full of nonsense.

For heaven's sake, she started it. And am also an Okuyo who thinks like Ndii.

Trump calls Joe Biden 'head clown". In response, Joe asks Trump to grow up. I think we have an export market for Kool-Aid!

Thomas Szasz has a book called 'age of madness' and in it he shows how puritans had to create heretics to maintain their identity, and how those who were privileged in the age of reason had to create madness and enforce it.

So, what are the dynamics that have brought this thread's title? The 'middle class' and the 'elites' having constructed a world according to their narrative are'nt keen to expand their view and lose their identity.

Now since we're talking about an economist and his political role, and how he's on demand through the political divide I aver that by relying on professionals people tend to lose the controls they hoped to gain in the first place.

Thus even this spat on twitter and maybe even its progression here is testimony of how much reason has contradicted and destroyed itself...
