Not only in deforestation, this garment is taking us back to KANU era. So sad! And I don't blame the greedy leaders, I blame sycophant public who see no evil, hear no evil, and say no evil because the leaders are from their...!

It's good that she has gone to rest. If she were alive, she would be leading the battle to save both ngong and mau forests.

she would be the most hated person in mt. Kenya. Most likely the kikuyu council of elders would already have "cursed" her because of disturbing muthamaki.

Luckily for everyone, we are getting what we rightly deserve.

One needs to look at @Masukuma's ice berg to see where the problem lies, and what kind of leadership and initiative that's needed for a turnaround.

Right now there are very few places in which the environment is conserved. It goes beyond Uhuru or Ruto.

Visionary thinking is scarce...

I read the story in the Nation and just felt sad. And to think that all indications are that Jubilee will continue being in power!

But who is to blame? is it the corrupt leadership or those who elect them into office?

And to think we have such a huge parliament and none of them can raise such an issue .

Unfortunately this is so true.

We the people are to blame. Our leaders have hoodwinked us into thinking that having a member of our tribe in power is the most important thing. They have been turning Kenyans against each other since 1963.

Experts say that Ngong forest is an important water catchment area. This likely means that the water supply of Nairobi city is largely dependent on forests like this.

So 10 years from now when the current group is done destroying the environment and looting everything in sight, people will be on wazua or elsewhere lamenting acute water shortages that have hit Nairobi.

Just like we sit here and lament floods, traffic, crime, bad roads, bad hospitals and other issues that are caused by our focus on tribal voting.

Do you think the PORK is not aware? Just know the 90s is being repeated... Kenya in doom, Kenyans in doom.

It is unfortunate that We still do not understand the effects of climate change , ironically the UNEP HQ sits in Nairobi.
